Styling Diesel Thavar 801C for New York Speed
This styling post is on the Diesel Thavar in 801C for New York Speed. I find that many guys tend to go very simple regularly, especially during the Summer. So I decided to go for a very classic casual look, like the streets of Milan. I paired the jeans with a House of Howe shirt, G-Star shoes, and G-Star Jacket.
This is how I would wear this look. I would cuff the jeans to right above the rim of the shoes. Being on the medium/lighter side, I think, it would look more appropriate that way. I really think that you cannot go wrong with a military jacket. It can really make a look more put together without dressing it up too much. I think cuffing the sleeves would help keep your body stay cool without sacrificing style. Being Summer, I don’t think anyone would want to be fully covered. 4th Of July Denim Styling Inspiration
We thought it would be fun to put together a little styling post in time for the 4th of July. We each took a colour jean/short in red, white or blue, and styled our outfit around that, combining the 3 colours in each. It was a lot of fun and hopefully it might give you some inspiration for your 4th of July! What do you think of them?

I definitely had a great time doing this! Since I am not American myself, I went all out on this outfit making it as patriotic as I could. I chose to work with the J Brand Zoey Triple Zip Jeans in Lipstick because I love the bright red tone they have to them and the quirkiness of the zippers. I combined these jeans with a Topshop Structured White Blazer to add the white and a Splendid Navy Ribbed Tank Top to add the blue. The Vince Camuto Signature Prima Pumps compliment the blazer nicely by adding some more white and they also class it up because of the stiletto heel and pointed toe. If that wasn’t American Flag enough, I then added a Lacoste American Flag Tote and a Star Bracelet from Frills & Company to really set it off.
I think just by looking at this outfit, you can tell it’s American inspired and will definitely work well if you plan on going all out this 4th of July! I recently wore a red, white and blue outfit myself for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee since we share the same flag colours as you guys, so I had fun with that one too, although I had blue jeans, a white sweater and red bag, so it was a bit reversed. I would have loved to have worn something like this one though!

While I love dressing up, I prefer outfits that don’t look too themed. I chose these Current/Elliott Rolled skinny jeans in this light blue wash, which I thought would look really nice contrasted with red. The cropped fit is great for warmer weather and can be rolled up or down depending on which you prefer. I chose this strapless bustier top from Parker because I loved the red color and the detailing on the bodice. These Alaia studded leather sandals add both the touch of white to complete the theme but also add a bit of shine the the look. I finished it with these Elizabeth and James mixed metal bangles and this summery Lauren Merkin cork clutch.

When I think of jeans and summer together, I either think Siwy or lace-up shorts. I decided to go with the now classic Siwy Camilla in Snowstorm (click here to buy at Singer22) for this one. Since this is a 4th of July post, I decided to add some stars to the look. I chose the Stars T Shirt from Current/Elliott. Now for the accessories. To keep the sun away from your eyes I chose the Cat Eye Sunglasses by The Row. The beanie is by Rag & Bone (no longer available) and the bevy of bracelets are by Aurélie Bidermann, Kenneth Jay Lane, Alexander McQueen, Chan Luu (all available at Net-A-Porter). The rings are by Lanvin, Dannijo, and Pamela Love (all at SSENSE) and now finally the key piece to finish the look, shoes. I chose a simple pair of nude Lanvin flats from Net-A-Porter.
I decided to go with flats this time around because I think boots would be a bit expected and I think nude flats are a staple piece that every girl should have. I was thinking about choosing the pair with the chain ankle strap, but I think that would have been too much overkill with the embellishments when paired with all the jewelry. What I like about this look is that it is not just a look for the holiday. It can work just anytime in the summer or just everyday in California.
Styling Chloé’s Light Blue Flared Jeans For SSENSE – On SALE Now!
This month, I got the opportunity to style this pair of Chloé light blue flare jeans for SSENSE, which are on sale now. I was really excited to style these because I really love the flare trend at the moment. I think these Chloé’s are a great option because the lighter wash is really pretty and the material looks very light weight and comfortable for the warmer summer months.
Because these are flares and have a lot of volume on the bottom, I wanted to style them with something light and airy. I chose this satin coral Carven blouse because the color is gorgeous and will really pop with the jeans and the material is a delicate contrast to them. While it can get tricky to pair two looser fitting items together, I think the tied waist of the blouse creates enough definition not to be too overwhelming. I wanted to keep everything else really simple and sleek. I think flares hang better with heels, so I chose these Lanvin python and cord heels, which are great for summer. I finished the look with this Fallon leather trim gold chain necklace.
Styling Men’s Paul Smith Grey Drainpipe Jeans For SSENSE – On SALE Now!
I had a lot of fun styling this guys outfit for SSENSE. Partly because I’ve always had a liking for men’s fashion and because I like the Paul Smith Grey Drainpipe Jeans that I got to work with. These jeans have actually just been put in the sale with 50% off too!
I have always thought that some guys have the most amazing fashion sense. They just know how to look good and how to wear their clothes very fitted and styled. Zac Efron is one of those guys and there are plenty of others that I like too. I was sort of inspired by Zac’s style with this outfit actually.
I chose to pair the jeans with a Dsquared2 Guns ‘n’ Roses t-shirt, Common Projects Off White Achilles Summer Sneakers and a rag & bone Hughes Black Leather Jacket.
I opted for the off white tone of the Common Projects because I think actual white would have been too bright as this outfit gives me a more careless vibe. I also chose this brand because I know a lot of guys love Common Projects for their shape, style and simplicity. I thought the printed t-shirt was a nice touch to add a more laid back vibe too, plus it adds a tiny bit of colour to the outfit, in a masculine way, and of course the leather jacket just always finishes off a look nicely. It adds toughness and breaks up the white.
Even though I am obviously female, this is definitely an outfit I would wear myself if I was male, it’s the style I have always liked so it made doing this post for you guys a lot more fun! So guys, or ladies, what do you think of the outfit?
