I became a huge fan of the 3×1 High Rise Channel Seam in Black No. 5 ever since I saw Jessica Alba wearing them. From the faded black wash to the cut, the style has become one of my new favorite high rise styles to get a sighting of. Not to mention the seam details at the inseam that adds a little something to make them stand out amongst the other brands, which is why I chose them to style 3 different ways this month. You can see the three looks below.
This look here was inspired by the Kate Moss circa 2007 time of when she used to wear cowboy boots with just about every look that she was wearing. I mean everything from pairings with leather jackets to even her smartest pieces like a blazer. I went for the latter by choosing one from TOPSHOP. A Moss look cannot be without a cool graphic tee and a cool hat, so I chose a shirt by Uniqlo and a hat by Janessa Leone. Then of course the western inspired shoes to complete the look by Ariat. The worn leather and embossing add a little more detail to the outfit that is subtle.
I always like to do a casual look, though something that can still be presentable with the help of a few luxurious pieces. Those pieces that help elevate are these Saint Laurent boots and a leather jacket by R13. They can take anything like this Diesel hoodie and Isabel Marant scarf from just being the average look to a level that will have any street style photographer snapping a shot.
These jeans and western boots seem to be the combination that I just find perfect, you can tell by the previous look. This one is no different. This time I chose a pair by Frye to style with a MiH shirt. I like the darker more autumn feel of this plaid and find that it works really well with the color of the boots. To finish the look off, a piece that I have going back to myself, a beanie (this one by Isabel Marant), and a Givenchy bag.
Vintage looks will always be in fashion and they’ve had longevity for a reason. They’re timeless and classic and are always a great look to revert back to. The following denim pieces have stayed in style, have come in and out of style or have reinvented themselves, but nonetheless, are all classic. Enjoy looks from the 70s, 80s and 90s for your Vintage inspired, denim outfits this Fall.
For my weekend going out look, I wanted to do something chic and sophisticated, something that can take you from shopping in the day time to lunch with the girls. It’s casual and easy, but pulled together and structured, so you will look perfect for the day.
I chose these MiH Marrakesh Kick Flares as we don’t do enough flared denim it seems, well I don’t personally, so I thought it would make a nice change! I paired them with this Only White Blazer which I layered over the Equipment Signature Blouse in yellow. I think this gives some colour to the look, but the jacket keeps it polished. For the shoes, I went with these Brian Atwood Wedges as the combination of flares and wedges is one I adore! I then chose this Michael Kors Tote to carry all of your essentials, a gold necklace to lengthen the neckline and then a tan belt to smarten the jeans up. I would then loosely tuck the shirt inside the jeans. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
One of my favorite trends this season is the denim pencil skirt and a couple of months ago I styled a look with the AG Denim Skirt. I wanted to style a look with this Paige Dedire skirt in Ramone Destructed because I love the black wash and the shreds, which give it a completely different, edgier look.
In keeping with the edgier vibe, I chose to style this with all black pieces, for a sleek look that could easily transition from day to night. I chose this simple black tank top from Raquel Allegra that has a great slouchy shape and would look good slightly tucked into the skirt. I then chose these Alexander Wang neoprene shoes, which add a nice clean line. Since I didn’t incorporate color, I went with a graphic printed clutch from Givenchy instead, to add a bit of a playful touch. I finished the look with a sleek silver cuff from Loren Stewart and Saint Laurent sunglasses.
