I’ve been a fan of these 3×1 W3 Channel Seam Skinny jeans for quite some time and I decided to create my weekend going out look around them. Overall, I wanted to keep the look pretty causal and incorporate some darker colors for fall. I chose this Rebecca Taylor tweed motorcycle style jacket because I think the black and white tweed goes well with the white stripe of the jeans and I layered it over this slouchy, sheer tank from All Saints. I think the jacket adds a nice polish that can transition this easily from running errands during the day to drinks or dinner at night.
I wanted to bring a bit of color into the outfit with my accessories. I’m looking for any excuse to wear boots and I love the color of this wine colored pair from Madewell. I liked the dark green color and shape of this Wendy Nichols bag. Lastly, to add a bit more color to the outfit, I chose these Gemma Redux blue triangle earrings.
DL1961, a brand we love here at DenimBlog, has released 3 new key styles for the season. They have the Hazel moto jeans in Ducati above, the Emma leggings in Pandora below and finally the Riley boyfriend jeans in Savage. Each are very unique and different, so I styled them in 3 very different ways.
For the Hazel moto jeans above, I love the idea of mixing a tougher jean with some feminine pieces, which is why I went with a cream shirt and heels. I like the fact that the shirt is made that little bit more masculine with the leather accents. To tie things together, I added some gold jewellery, just to feminize it and then added a splash of color with the red bag. Finally, the glasses just add that little touch of glamour to the outfit.
The Emma leggings in Pandora are definitely a more classic jean. They have a dark wash in a textured velvet pinstripe combined with a skinny fit that’s comfortable. These can be styled in endless ways, however I chose to go girly and edgy with a burgundy leather jacket over a simple white tank top. Burgundy and dark blue always go well together! I added the black heels and ring to glam it up, but used a cream snood to bring it down a notch. I really like this outfit and would wear it myself!
Finally, for the Riley boyfriend jeans in Savage, I didn’t want to dress them down. Boyfriend jeans are worn casual about 90% of the time, so I wanted to dress them up and go with a different vibe. I added a white structured blazer with some taupe ankle boots, just to give it a bit of a feminine, yet tough feel. I chose a cream cross body bag and sunglasses, again to add to that casual feel, but then used some silver rings and a watch to contrast that. Which look do you like the most?

For this weeks weekend going out look, I didn’t actually start with the jeans for styling. I actually started out with this gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB bag in Plum and then paired the Office Reim Purple Heels with it. I then thought about the jeans and decided on something clean and dark, so I went for the Paige Hoxton Ultra Skinny jeans in Gloss as they fit that description perfectly!
To make things look chic and classy, I opted for a Very Eickhoff Shirt in cream with black leather accents. Then, to finish the look off, I chose a Marc by Marc Jacobs Henry silver watch and a Butterfly Trio of Silver rings. I really like how simple and clean this outfit is, but it has such character with the intense jewel tones of purple.
Grey jeans are one of the hardest washes to style around and I feel that I am not alone on this. The main reason I think this is because many tend to lack in depth and are very dull. There are a handful that I have come across though over time that were given much more attention than others allowing them to be more versatile with the added details. One pair that has all this criteria is the Double Zip Skinny in Grey by Anine Bing. See all the ways I styled the looks below.
When grey is done right you can pretty much wear it with anything, which Kate Moss has proven over time through the years. As summer is still holding on for a little bit more, I wanted to do one look that was still light and of course with that California essence. You cannot go wrong by pairing them with a classic white shirt by R13, the perfect belt by Isabel Marant and ankle boots like the supermodel. To elevate the classic look from looking too much like staples, I chose these boots by Toga as I find the green to work really well with the wash of the jeans. I then finished it off with another staple, a satchel by Proenza Schouler.
