I’ve had such a crush on the Citizens of Humanity Corey Slouchy slim jeans lately, I decided to style my weekend going out look around them. Since Fall is just around the corner, I wanted to style a look that would transition to colder weather really well.
First, I chose this contrast tee from Topshop that has a slightly cropped fit. It would also be great to transition by throwing on a leather jacket or blazer. Next, I chose these Tory Burch mules because I love how the color blocking adds color to the look. For my other accessories, I wanted to add a bit more color and chose these Illesteva Leonard II Sunglasses in red, and then finished the look with this brown cross body bag from Vince, and a bit of shine with this gold cuff from Kenneth Jay Lane.
I’ve done quite a few casual looks for my weekend outfits lately and I wanted to do something a little dressier. It wont be long before we are already approaching Fall and that’s my favourite time of year, so I’ve done a look that is centered around that. I chose the new Cult of Individuality Zen Midrise skinny jeans in Aeon Flux which will be released soon. I think the metallic print on these is gorgeous! It reminds me so much of Autumn leaves and rain drops!
I paired the jeans with a cropped top from 3.1 Phillip Lim as it’s still quite warm outside but then layered a black blazer from Stella McCartney to give it some structure and tidiness. I then finished it off with some Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels and a nude clutch from Michael Kors to keep it clean. I decided not to go with any jewellery for this outfit as I wanted the jeans to make a statement on their own. Sometimes less really is more when you have something busy going on.
I couldn’t have been more excited when first seeing the J Brand 835 Mid-Rise Capri in Exposure. I just love the way the repaired detailing works so fluidly with the distressing of the jeans. Not to mention the undone hem that adds just that bit more to the look with the way the threads hang when styling them with running sneakers, like these all white Roshes by Nike.
I wanted to go for a look that had that sense of reckless abandonment that I feel these jeans embody. I paired the jeans with a t shirt by LnA as I find the distressing to play against this fringe Saint Laurent jacket really well. Then to finish it off and carry that western feel, a brimmed hat from Brixton. The look is a bit of a hodgepodge of pieces that are just thrown together, but in a sense works well with the vibe it gives off when all paired together. How would you style these jeans?
After seeing the AMIRI MX1 Jeans, it was a no brainer that they were going to be my next choice to style for this month. As I have said before, I just love how well thought out the details are and how well they all work together fluidly. Being that they come in three different washes, I decided to style each pair from looks that any guy would love wearing.
The Grey Wash is my favorite of the three. They show off the great detailing, but still have a subtlety to them that I just love and find make them the most versatile pair. It also works perfectly with the label’s ‘Shotgun’ t shirt. I could not do a styling post on AMIRI without featuring this t shirt. Being that the jeans and t shirt are pretty distressed, I wanted to keep that casual look going, but with cleaner pieces that have become staples in every guys closet. I first went with the classic Stan Smith sneakers by Adidas. These will instantly clean any look that you pair them with. I then chose a surplus jacket from Saint Laurent and to finish it off a hat by Goorin Bros.
I wanted to go for a more sporty vibe with the Black pair here and keeping it mostly monochromatic. I started by pairing them with a simple t shirt by James Perse. To bring out the sports vibe, I paired them with a bomber jacket by Rick Owens and for some contrast (and a bit into all black with white shoes at the moment), a pair of the Ultra Boosts from Adidas. Then to finish off the look, a clean snapback hat from Stussy.
I wanted to keep the monochromatic styling with the White pair as well. There is a smartness to this pair that the others don’t posses, I find, that is quite fresh for a distressed pair of jeans. Since feeling cleaner, that was the route that I decided to go with these. I paired them with a cream colored sweater from A.P.C. to layer over a t shirt from James Perse. For this look, I didn’t want to choose a pair sneakers or lace up boots. These chelsea boots from Loake 1880 paired with the Goorin Bros hat just helps bring the look together, I feel, without being a huge contrast from the lighter colored pieces. The overall look has a vibe that I definitely see fashion for men heading towards.
-How many of you are fans of these jeans? And how would you style them?
