The moment I saw these BLANK NYC Vegan Moto Leather Pants in Daddy Soda, I knew wanted to do a look with them. The details are very strong and a classic moto style, but it is also well done. A good moto detail is sometimes even rare in pricier denim, which makes them more appealing.
I decided to go for a more sporty-devil-may-care look as I find that the pants suit the concept very well. I chose to pair it with a sweater by TOPSHOP for its easy casualness. Then chose a pair of the SL Loops by Adidas as I am completely loving them right now and the shape works really well with the cut of these pants. Then to finish the look, a backpack by Opening Ceremony and sunglasses by Ray-Ban. Add more to that devil may care look and give yourself a heavy side part for when you are out hanging with friends.
As the weather has been scorching hot over here in the UK for weeks now, I’m more interested in comfortable and casual looks that will keep me cool, rather than styling something beautiful which I know I am going to sweat in. This was my inspiration behind this outfit, using off duty models as the base. I am absolutely in love with the Citizens of Humanity Rocket Jeans in Axel since I got them last week, so I thought they would make the perfect starting point for this look.
I chose to pair them with The Row Roger Tank in white as it’s loose and breezy, keeping you cool for the day time. I added some colour and fun though with these Crime Leopard High Tops as I think they pair so well with black skinny jeans, not to mention they will be great for shopping! To hold all of your essentials, I went with a Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote as the tan shade was the perfect tone for the rest of the pieces. Moving onto the accessories, I chose a Sashi Tracy Long Bar Necklace and a Nasty Gal Snake Around Ring. Both of these are quirky and fun! I then went with these classic looking Ray-Ban Sunglasses and finished everything off with a Fedora. This is definitely something I would wear for day time! It reminds me a lot of an outfit that Cara Delevingne or Hilary Duff might choose.
When I first saw Jonathan’s post on this Rag & Bone Monterey Denim jacket, I loved it! I love the distressing along the bottom hem and the wash is so versatile, so I chose it for my weekend going out look. Since summer is in full swing and I am trying to get as much pool and beach time in as possible, I thought I’d style a look that could transition from pool side to a night out.
For day, the denim jacket would make a great layer worn open over this bikini top from Billabong, paired with this blue P.A.R.O.S.H skirt. These suede wrap sandals from Ancient Greek are casual but have a nice feminine touch. The embellished clutch from ASOS adds a bit of texture and more color to the look, and I always love how polished clutches make a more casual outfit dressy. To transition the look to night, I would style the jacket more as a denim shirt, wearing it buttoned up with the skirt and the sleeves pushed up to show off this sleek gold cuff from Alexis Bittar.
My obsession with grey jeans is still going strong and this time I chose a clean cropped pair by GOLDSIGN to style. I opted for their Frontier Cropped in Braylon mainly for its wash, but the cut has a strong Kate Moss feel to it that made me decide on three looks that were all inspired by her.
Ms. Moss had a moment a few years back when she lived in her cardigans and cowboy boots, this look was inspired by that time. I paired the jeans with boots by Dingo for the contrast that the worn deep red adds. I then wanted to add a model signature, a muscle t by Isabel Marant. If I were to say there was a perfect muscle t shirt, this would be it. It wouldn’t be a look of that time without the cardigan and I chose this simple and clean one by Margiela. Then, it couldn’t be a Moss look without some funky accessory. I chose this one by Luv AJ for its slightly organic worn western vibe.
Nothing screams Moss more than the a shrunken blazer, graphic t shirt and some ankle boots. This R13 t shirt is something I can definitely see her wearing because it is just cool. I chose a blazer from TOPSHOP as she is a fan of the high-street store herself. This one is less classic from the ones she typically wears, but still feels as smart. Ankle boots was a no brainer to choose as she has been wearing them with everything since before it was a trend. I chose these by Toga for the details on them and the way it compliments the wash of the jeans. I then wanted to finish the look off with something that wasn’t typically of the style icon, but has a fun vibe like her personality. This Valentino bag, I find, to be one of the best bags of the season. There is great charm to it that takes any look to a more fun level.
Now for the boho Moss look. One thing that I appreciate about her style is that she really is versatile with the pieces she wears, but styles them in her own way, which is very strong. Stripes are quintessential when doing any post inspired by her and this t shirt by R13 is just the perfect one. Once again, ankle boots, but they are not just the ordinary ankle boots. I chose this reptile skinned pair by Saint Laurent to add some texture and help contrast the smoothness of the suede jacket from her collaboration from TOPSHOP. As skinny scarves are her thing right now, this one from her collaboration just only fits the bill for the eclectic mix of clothing.
