Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria was photographed out for a shopping excursion on Rodeo Drive with Victoria Beckham, in a fabulous pair of Rock and Republic jeans.
Rock and Republic has been coming out with a ton of new washes and back pocket designs available online at their Online Store. What do you think about Rock and Republics new back pocket designs?

Check out these new jeans from Rock & Republic and 7 for All Mankind from the Spring Neiman Marcus catalog - they are Neiman’s exclusive designs. Love these new designs! They are not online yet but perhaps they will be soon! Call your local Neiman’s for availability!
From Rock & Republic. Pink/White (shown) or Blue/White printed silk and spandex camisole top with studs, in sizes 0-8 $134.00 Imported.

From 7 For All Mankind. Nude viscose and silk halter top, in sizes XS-L. $158.00. Imported. Blue distressed cotton and spandex denim “Vintage Honolulu” jeans with pink/nude/white painted pockets in sizes 24-32 $198.00

What do you think of these exclusive new jeans? I love both but those 7’s are really different - much nicer than the True Religion painted pocket jeans I’ve seen!
Thanks to SammieKat for scanning these pics from the NM catalog!

While perusing the pages of the new Neiman Marcus catalog, it is clearly apparent that white may be the new blue for denim this Spring. Hmmmm…. personally I don’t love the look of light or white denim on guys - its just too feminine. And I won’t even wear white jeans for fear white emphasizes certain areas…and not being a size 2 myself…’nuff said? So skinny girls, you go ahead and rock those white jeans, but for the rest of us, and guys - eh, it may be best to stick to the basic blues and blacks for denim. What do you think of the trend - on guys or girls?

What do we think about the NEW Rock & Republic Kasandra Crown jeans, just released (pictured below), exclusively for ELuxury? They are making quite a stir among our HonestForum members who are whipping out their credit cards as we speak.

There’s also the R&R Crowns in the Bronze wash - which is too bronze for me personally which came out a few months ago.

Also, LOVE the new Rock & Republic Fallon Shorts! So cute for summer!

And last but not least, my personal fave of the new Rock & Republic styles, the Halen Slim Bootcut in Stranded Wire wash. Very rock n’ roll, but wow - are Rocks getting more expensive or is it just us? $341 for these babies! Why are they so much higher than other styles that are in the $250 range?

In a effort to break into the high fashion designer market and expand their line, Rock & Republic is featuring brightly colored dresses that look straight off the runway in their latest ad campaign.
Very Versace in our opinion- we have seen these styles before. Will you view Rock & Republic as a high fashion brand now that they are expanding or will you always think of them as a jeans brand? And, do you like their clothing/accessories lines or should they just stick to jeans?

March’s issue of Marie Claire magazine featured denim as a key trend for Spring ‘08. This is definitely a trend we can agree on! Vests, dresses, jackets, skirts and pants- all in denim. From high-end designer brands like Chanel and Dior to our favorites like Rock & Republic and 7 For All Mankind, denim is in!

Rock & Republic’s Fashion Week 2008 show in New York City was filled with mostly black and purple designs…which are gorgeous of course, but we were a bit dissapointed to not see ANY denim in the photos. Isn’t denim what they were built on? Guess they really are trying to diversify into other areas.

From the Fashion Investor blog, we spotted this today. Do you think this is true or hearsay? And are denim brands like Rock & Republic better off sticking to denim, what they know, instead of trying to expand too quickly? It’s funny that they mention True Religion, because they have also been venturing into handbags, swimwear, etc. recently themselves…
The buzz about Sundance this past week has been about the state of some popular contemporary denim brands. I’m not even remotely a fan of True Religion, one of the sponsors of a swag suite at the festival, but the brand has generally been successfully in selling their core product - upscale denim with new, on-trend variations every six months or so. The gossip around Sundance has been focused on how Rock & Republic has been faring. While their core product is also upscale, on-trend denim, they have been trying to expand into areas with limited success that has allegedly cut dramatically into their cash flow. With handbag prices reaching $950 and shoes reaching $395, and sunglasses like those pictured above for $350, Rock & Republic is pricing the brand much higher than others in the same contemporary market, including L.A.M.B. and Botkier, among others. Vanessa Hudgens spends the day about and about in LA. shopping in a pair of Rock & Republic Skinnies. The High School Musical star showed her generosity as she handed a $10 bill to a homeless man who was sitting by the side of the road. Hudgens, who was driving her convertible Audi with her mother, made the kind gesture as she was waiting at a red traffic light.
Aww, isn’t it sweet when celebs are thoughtful?
