Topman & Burton Autumn/Winter 2012 Press Day
Here are some images from the Topman and Burton Autumn/Winter 2012 press day last month in London. Again, this was part of the Arcadia group press day so there was not a huge selection. Topman (the first 4 images) did have quite a big amount of denim though! They had acid wash coloured jeans in burgundy and dark green and other pieces.
For Burton, they had a nice pair of jeans with a sandy wash as well as a denim jacket with a fleece lining which looked really nice. The Burton images are the last 2 in the gallery. You can see the denim images below. What do you think guys? Do you like the new styles or not?

Press Day: Topshop & Miss Selfridge Autumn/Winter 2012
Here are a few images from the Topshop and Miss Selfridge Autumn/Winter 2012 press day in London last month. As it was the Arcadia press day, which represents all of the brands within the Arcadia group, there were only a few pieces shown from each brand. There were quite a few denim pieces from Topshop, which you can see in the first 3 images. They had some denim jackets, a pair of jeans and a shirt.
Miss Selfridge didn’t have much denim at all, they had one pair of studded jeans which you can see. I loved the rest of the clothes though, they had some amazing party pieces and embellished items! You can see all of the images in the gallery below. We were not allowed to post more than 5 images per brand though, so that’s why you can only get a sneak preview of the new styles to come!

Press Day Preview: Nudie Fall/Winter 2012
Here are some photos from the Nudie Fall/Winter 2012 press day in Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately I didn’t get to attend, but our LA correspondent Chanelle was able to and got these photos for us.
The Fall Winter 2012 season delivers a unisex denim collection produced entirely from 100% organic cotton – everything down to pocket linings, buttons, rivets and labeling are all raw materials. Since the brand was founded in 2001, there has been a long term vision of producing organic collections and this Fall we come one step closer.
Inspiration looks to the historic Swedish working culture, harmonized with the use of Japanese plaid fabrics and subdued autumnal tones. Denim breathes nostalgia, with romantic washed blues and greys juxtaposed against strong dry selvage styles, with a hit of irony seen in the Icon Orange.
I think they have some great pieces here. I find you always get that same Nudie vibe in every collection of theirs, which is good because it means they stay true to who they are as a brand. What do you think of the collection guys?

J Brand Autumn/Winter 2012 Press Day
Here are some photos of the new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection from J Brand. I saw the new styles in London during the press day at Somerset House and I completely fell in love with a lot of them! J Brand are a brand that loves to go all out on their jeans and pants and they definitely didn’t disappoint for Autumn/Winter 2012.
My favourites would definitely have to be the pair above. I think the circular tie-dye print is absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely love to add those to my collection when they become available! Other pairs that stood out to me were the skinny pants in the image below because they have circular buttons at the ankles. I originally had this idea for my Paige Denim collaboration as I love buttons like that, but unfortunately it wasn’t the right time to do it.
They also had 3 jeans with velvet tapestry print on them in red, blue and gold (image 1, 2 and 3). I thought those were really cool, but a little too ‘out there’ for me. They had a jean which featured a mix of denim and leather with ankle zips (image 9). They have also brought out a brushed metallic jean (image 7) and a pair of suede pants with streaking all over them (image 11).
The famous J Brand leathers are in more Autumn/Winter appropriate shades, they also had jewel tone cords, a classic blue jean with distressing (image 13) and one of their new inventions (image 10), which is a new super skinny/super stretch pant. They feel like a wet suit actually, they have that thick elastic high stretch material and they are supposed to form to your body and not stretch out at all. Much like a super thick legging does, but in a jeans form with back pockets etc.
I have also included 3 men’s photos, which are the last 3 in the gallery, but they didn’t have much that really stood out. Their men’s collection was quite simple and basic, much like the previous seasons, although they did have a mini houndstooth print and a very whiskered blue wash. Those were the only two that really caught my eye. They do have some cargos, twill pants and regular denim, but that’s about it.
I also saw some of the ready to wear pieces for Autumn/Winter 2012, but I am not allowed to show those yet unfortunately, but I did fall in love with a very beautiful scarf and jacket! When I am allowed to share them with you, I will update this post with the images. So what do you think of the new J Brand Autumn/Winter 2012 collection?
