Press Day Preview: Diesel Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection
Here are the photos I took of the Diesel Autumn/Winter 2012 men’s and women’s collection when I was at the Diesel Headquarters in London. They had some amazing jeans, seriously. As you know I have been a fan of Diesel for many many years now and they are a brand that take a big spot in my heart. I was excited seeing this collection because they have injected so much colour into the women’s line, it’s beautiful! Their main focus seems to be mustard yellows and burgundy reds which really add a bold brightness to the women’s department. I love the tie-dye prints on the colours as well.
For the guys, they had some incredible jeans! They have a new process called ‘impregnation’ which means they have injected the dye even deeper into the denim which gives it a more 3D effect. You can see in the photos that they have more crinkles and depth to them. It’s such a great effect because it makes the jeans look so unique and worn in, but at the same time they are full of colour. I fell in love with a pair of Safados (gallery image 15) because the wash on those was so nice. I would love for them to bring it out in women’s, I don’t think they will, but who knows!
Overall I’m really impressed with the new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. Diesel have really upped their game with their washes this time around! Most of the jeans I liked, I only saw a minority that I wasn’t overly fond of. What do you think of the new seasons jeans? I know a lot of you are big Diesel fans too! Our Diesel section of the community is the most popular and very active with members who love the brand, so if you want to chat Diesel, you can always head over there and join in the jeans sharing fun! Otherwise, you can see the images in the gallery below and comment as usual.

Press Preview: Guess Fall 2012
Here is a preview of the new Fall 2012 Guess & Guess by Marciano men’s and women’s collections. They held their press event last week which showcased the brands apparel and accessories pieces.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to attend as I am in the UK, but from these pictures, it really looks like they make their press events fun! I love how they use real models to show off the pieces and how they always seem to like using animal prints each season. The aztec in black and white is also really pretty! I have a thing for prints like that. So what do you think of the new collections? Are you a fan of the prints too?

DenimBlog Picks: G-Star Spring/Summer 2012 Denim
I went to the G-Star press showroom in London just over a week ago to see the new collections. I saw the current Spring/Summer 2012 collection (in this post) and I also saw the new Autumn/Winter 2012 pieces (those will come in another post). I didn’t photo the entire Spring/Summer collection because obviously it’s already out, so what I did was selected a few of my favourite pieces, or pieces that I thought were quite cool and different, and spotlighted them here in this post.
My absolute favourite jeans would be the grey moto jeans, I love them! I think the wash is so pretty and the stitching and detail that has gone into them is really well done. They are beautiful! I also liked the dark blue skinnies, the dark blue denim vest/sleeveless jacket and the cropped boy style shorts. I featured two items from their Raw Organic line which are the flared jeans with the lace up tie and the light blue chambray shirt. They also had a vivid light blue denim mini skirt which I thought was different. So what do you think of these pieces?

Press Day Preview: Hudson Jeans Autumn/Winter 2012
I attended the press day for the new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection from Hudson Jeans yesterday in London. There was only a small selection of jeans, but the ones that were available were amazing! For the women there were cords, velvet, crystal shine waxing, galaxy print, floral print, the phosphorescent striped jeans and some regular coloured denim. I really loved the floral print in the image below and the pink and blue jeans above, they were very pretty! I am also loving the corduroy.
For the guys (the last 3 images in the gallery) they had a nice selection as well. They had deep dark blues, blacks and whites with some burgundy coated jeans mixed in. The dark blue denim jacket on the right was very nice too! I can see that being a classic statement piece.
So what do you all think of the collection? I would definitely like to own so many of these jeans! I’m glad the brights have transitioned into next season as well, it’s nice to know they were not just for Spring/Summer! I do find these to be jewel toned and rich in comparison to the pastel shades that are out now.
