When I was in London last month, I also got to see the J Brand Autumn/Winter 2013 collection for the guys as well as the women (you can see the women’s here). The guys only had a small rail of clothes, but from what I could see it was much brighter than the women’s collection wash in terms of colour!

A few of my favourite pieces from the new styles were definitely the light wash grey denim jacket above, the burgundy acid wash jean and also the mid grey wash jean. It’s always nice to see denim jackets being released in different shades and I like the fact that they have strayed away from the classic blue. The grey really is a nice alternative! Their denim jacket also comes in a lighter camel colour, which you can see just below.

There were some other jeans in chino inspired colours, like a washed red, a stone, a bluey grey etc and they seem like they would be more suited to summer, however I can definitely see guys rocking these with jackets for the cooler weather. Acid wash is generally a wash you associate with summer as well, but I think the colour palette of dark shades like burgundy and black really makes it winter appropriate!

There were also some dark blues and blacks among the collection to keep it classic, so there are definitely some regular styles for the guys as well. You can see all of the photos in this post and if you need more details, just comment and let me know! Have you seen any styles you like guys?

One of my favourite brands to see when I get to attend the press days in London is definitely J Brand. I’m always intrigued to see what prints and styles they will be coming out with next and what will be a leading jean/pant for them that season. The Autumn/Winter 2013 collection was definitely very reminiscent of the season and there are some pieces here that I think you will love!

In the photo above, you can see a black and white crazy striped sort of geometric jean which I thought was really cool. I can definitely see someone like Gwen Stefani sporting those! Next to them is something inventive, it’s a pair of black leather skinnies, however at the outerseam there are studs underneath the leather, so they raise the leather up in small bumps to give a 3D effect. The next black pair along was a regular jean, but they had studs in patterns along the calves as you can see and the other 3 styles were fairly simple, you can just see what they look like as there isn’t much to describe for them.

As for the coloured jeans that J Brand usually release each season, they were quite sparse this time around and the overall theme was monochrome in black/grey/white and beige. There were a couple of jeans in colours, but these were primary red and primary blue, which you can see in images 4 and 5. I was quite suprised actually that brands are now starting to stray away from bold shades and reign it back into classics. I’m wondering what SS14 might be like!

Image number 8 is of a pair of jeans which are snake print in black and silver, but they also look like little diamonds up close. I thought those were pretty. Image 9 is a very cool purple and grey ombre jean, but in a much different way because they are printed too with tiny little abstract squares, which I think is a great new take on the trend. Image 10 is of one of their classic blue denim vests which I really liked and then in image 11 you can see some of their distressed blue boyfriend jeans as well as some darker and non distressed blue washes. I love their classics!

Image 12 is their classic black leather skinny pants which everyone loves. 13 is a new black skinny with metal style detailing around the knees which you can see. These are definitely different and remind me a lot of almost futuristic wear or robotic clothing. Then finally is the grey denim shirt which is a new take on the trend for the colder months and also a pair of grey jeans. I think this new Autumn/Winter 2013 collection from J Brand is definitely one of their most sophisticated. I can tell they went down a different route with this season because gone are the really loud and intense prints and they are replaced with some sleek and minimalistic styles. When I was doing the press day rounds I also got to quickly preview the new Nudie Autumn/Winter 2013 collection in London. I was quite suprised to see that they actually had quite a bit of bold colour in the styles as they usually have a more classic look, especially for Autumn/Winter, but there were a pair of bright red corduroys, a mustard yellow twill kind of pant and a sage green pant as well. The rest of the collection featured a variety of blues from really dark up to medium with a pair of black jeans thrown in there for good measure.

As Nudie are always about the classics, their blue washes are usually beautiful and some of the pairs that I saw were no exception. The whiskering at the hips and behind the knees are always on point and the fades are authentic looking too. That’s something that I love about the Swedish brand as they really take care with their washes. That’s always important to me! Here is the Fall/Winter 2013 collection for the guys from Jean Machine. For those of you not familiar with the brand, it’s MiH’s men’s line and I got to preview the new styles at their headquarters in London during the press day. I took as many pictures as I could for you to see what they have up and coming!

Jean Machine is a lot different to the women’s MiH collection in terms of trends. The quality is still excellent and the brand keeps its English heritage, but in terms of styles, the guys is much more classic with dark and regular blue jeans being the main focal point of the collection. There were some darker greys on offer and they did also have some trouser style chinos there and a very pretty acid wash blue, which was a lot like the women’s acid wash I fell in love with, but there aren’t any really bright colours or prints, just a very muted and very Fall appropriate colour palette and even a denim jacket which looked nice.

The cuts for Jean Machine actually come in codes like J-M 1, J-M 2 and J-M 3. Starting at 1 as the slimmest, 2 being a straight and then 3 as a more relaxed fit. They do offer a J-M 4 which is the jacket and there is also a J-M 9 which is a pair of shorts, but those aren’t in the F/W13 collection for obvious reasons. The acid wash pair (image number 2 and 3) came in the J-M 1 as it’s their more slimmer cut and more suited to the wash, while the other washes came in an array of fits. They did have some various shirts as well as some t-shirts, but denim made up the bulk of the collection. Have any of you guys tried Jean Machine yet? Check out the images in the gallery below!

Here is the second part of the 7 For All Mankind press day posts and this one is featuring the men’s collection. You can really tell that this is a Fall/Winter collection from the colour palette alone, there are so many deep blues, browns, olives and general warm tones, all in thicker and durable fabrics like corduroy, stronger denim and even lined jackets.

As you can tell from the photos below, it’s very different to the women’s collection. Obviously the collection featured no prints and no really bright colours or embellishments, but staple and classic pieces made up the bulk of the styles. I think so many of these pieces are easily wearable and I can see so many guys actually going out in these styles, especially the fleece lined jacket, the tan leather jacket, a lot of the dark blue jeans and of course the corduroys, I can see them being very popular! Another brand that I was very excited to see during the press days was 7 For All Mankind. I am a big fan of the brand and this was my first time seeing the brands up coming collection in London. I got to see both the men’s and women’s collections, so I have split them into two posts, featuring the women’s first in this post here.

I will talk about my favourite pieces first, the ones that stood out and really caught my eye, those were The Skinny in Peacock print which you can see above or in gallery images 9 and 10. The print itself was actually quite dusty and muted so the peacock wasn’t too intense. I’m unsure if I would have liked them to be a little bolder or if I prefer them muted as they are more wearable, but either way they were beautiful!

I also loved the purple and orange print in image 15! The blurred out dots in 16 and 17 as these were actually really crazy on the eye, the image looks blurry, but it was actually the dots, almost like a lot of colours splashed onto wet paper that merged together and a classic that was my favourite was image number 1, I really liked the simplicity of the blue!

In terms of an overall collection, they literally had everything. They had denim, distressing, classic colours of blues, greys and blacks, corduroy and some metallic coated corduroy, leather, pants, a huge amount of prints and colour, embellishments on the jeans and jacket like in images 4 and 5, baroque, velvet style fabric and of course lots of outerwear and knitted garments.

I was really impressed with just how much 7 For All Mankind actually incorporated into this collection as there is literally something for everyone! In terms of the regular denim though, the colour palette was mid to dark blues mostly with a few grey and black shades mixed in here and there. Some of the gold and metallic shades remind me so much of the winter holidays! What do you think of the new collection? Seeing the new Autumn/Winter 2013 collection from AG Adriano Goldschmied was the highlight of my day when I was in London doing the press day rounds. I have to say that it was my favourite collection out of all of the brands that I saw, although I am very fond of the brand in general. They have an amazing coming season though, as you can see from the photos.

I liked so many jeans from the collection, almost all of them, but the two that stood out as my favourites and pairs that I am going to buy are The Absolute Legging in coated burgundy (image 2) and The Ankle Legging in 18 Year Dust (image just below or 15 in the gallery). The coated burgundy ones are gorgeous! The colour was just so dark, they are so wearable! I wasn’t expecting to see many light washes for Fall either, but the 18 Year Dust had so many amazing details to it, it was truly beautiful. These two have been added to my wish list!

In terms of the collection as a whole, I think AG did it perfectly. Usuaully we see loads of prints and fashionable styles and a little bit of blues, or the other way around, however AG had a good mix of both. They had a couple of fun prints like the black and white in images 7 and 8 and some embossed denim (image 5), some gorgeous gold and silver metallic leggings (images 11 and 12) mixed in with some reptile print and Aztec red (images 18 and 19). These all stood out as statement pieces to me and I can see them being so popular among the celebs! The brand also had some jewel tone colours, in both denim and a corduroy/velvet material which you can also see and I thought those really reminded me of the colder months.

Transitioning into the classics from the brand, they had The Moto Legging which came in dark coated green and a regular grey denim. These had 2 hip zippers and a subtle knee stitching without any padding, so I can see them being quite slimming and flattering, rather than bulky as some quilted styles can be. They had many of their Legging, Stilt, Premiere and other classic cuts in amazingly washed blues, which AG are famous for. You can see an array of those in images 15, 16 and 17. They also had a really nice denim shirt/jacket style piece in there as well. I thought that was really wearable and pretty.

The last 2 images in the gallery (20 and 21) are from the men’s collection, however I didn’t take a lot of photos of it as it was mainly all blues. It was very subtle, very standard and a lot like the other collections AG usually offer around Winter time, so there weren’t really any stand out pieces there. They did have a lot of shirting and t-shirts though as you can see, so I’m sure we will be seeing some of those on the male celebs soon! In general it was an amazing collection and I can’t wait for the pieces to drop into stores later in the year. If you have any questions just let me know in the comments. What do you think of it?

As you know from yesterdays male post, I saw the Diesel Fall/Winter 2013 collection in London during the press day last week. I separated the posts into two as there were quite a lot of photos, so here is the second half featuring the new women’s collection.

The printed leopard style Livier jeans above were really pretty and some of my favourites actually, but I also really liked the new Grupee Ankle Zip cut in some of the washes they had on offer (images 1, 2, 3 and 4) as they were really pretty, simple blues! These are part of the pre-collection which will be dropping into stores in May! I was also attracted to the really bold and bright colourful prints on the denim vest, blazer and denim shorts (images 5, 6 and 7) as they were definitely statement pieces! I could see them being worn at festivals and fitting in perfectly.

Image 8 was a new berry coloured texture skinny pant which featured zippers in random places and I actually really liked these. They are unique and the colour was gorgeous in person! Images 9, 10 and 14 are all of the Livier cut and it comes in that array or really bright and fun colours for their popular jegging cut. Next in image 11 is the new Fayza. I’m a big fan of that cut as it’s a gorgeous boyfriend style that’s skinny and I think this new wash is just perfect for it! It’s so classic and easy to wear, just how a boyfriend jean should be. Images 12 and 13 are all of the brand new cut called Skinzee, which I reviewed not long ago. It’s Diesel’s new cross between a higher rise skinny and a jegging, so it’s super stretchy. Some of the washes, especially the 2 on the right, were beautiful. I’m not so much a fan of the green tone ones, but the blue ones I loved.

Images 15 and 16 are of a new and inventive printed Livier which I thought was intriguing. I didn’t like it as much as I liked the SS13 printed Livier, but this one is more muted and toned down which I suppose is definitely season appropriate. The last 2 images are of some watches which I thought were really cool and then a shot of some of the accessories so you can see them. Here is the Fall/Winter 2013 male collection for Diesel which I saw at the press day last week in London. The female collection will come soon, likely tomorrow, but as we have more male fans of Diesel, I thought it would be fair to post the guys collection first.

The styles that they mainly had on show at the press day were brightly coloured and printed, however they did have some blues and some of them were really pretty! The image just below has 3 Thavar on it, and those are the ones to the left, but I think mainly the photos speak for themselves. There were 2 washes that I really liked and those were the Darron in image 8 and Shioner in image 7. I think those were the prettiest blues they had on offer. I haven’t included many images of the clothing collection though, I have kept this post mainly about the denim.

I do find that the press days only show about 25% of the collection though and usually the more bolder pieces, so it will be interesting to see which blues come out over the months.

Those of you who follow DenimBlog on Twitter will know that I attended numerous press days in London on Wednesday and MiH was one of them! I got to see the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection in full at their offices again, like last season, and I was pleasantly suprised by most of the styles.

I was expecting there to be more bold and bright colours as well as prints, like what was apparent in the SS13 collection, but for this coming season MiH have stripped it back and gone back to basic blues and darker tones. They did have a couple of coloured pants, those were in the form of purple/blush pink corduroy and purple leather, and 2 very subtle, darker printed pairs, but everything else was mainly blue.

I have two favourites from the collection, one of them being the new Breathless cut (above) which has ankle zips at the back of the jeans instead of at the side seams, and then their new cut The Bonn (below) in a gorgeous dark blue acid wash tone. The Bonn was my favourite out of them all though, I love the colour of it.

There were some chunky woolen knits which were knitted by older ladies, new styles for their shirts which I liked as they were navy and white, interesting prints on some of their knitwear and just a general all round clothing collection. I like the fact that MiH make loads of different garments for their collection rather than sticking to just jeans as it makes it much more interesting and you can wear a full MiH outfit if you wanted to.
