So it got me thinking, we are all big premium denim fans on this blog and we love to buy new pairs all the time. How many pairs do you actually own? I have come across people owning 100+ pairs before, all of the same brand too. Other people love to collect things like stamps but we like to collect denim. I think personally I own about 55-60 pairs now which is a bit extreme to non denim lovers but nothing compared to true premium denim fans! So go on tell us, how many do you own?
If this works out well, you can message me your collection pictures to editor@denimblog.com and they will be posted!

So lovely blog readers, it’s time for a poll! What is your favorite denim brand? As in, if you could only take one pair to a desert island with you, which brand would they be? Tell us what denim brand make you swoon the most and why.

If you had to choose. Just one single brand. Which one would it be?

Drew Barrymore shows off her hippie chick style in an old pair of ripped up Levi’s jeans while grocery shopping. Everyone has been saying ripped denim is back and here to stay, at least for Spring & Summer 2008. But honestly, I’m not sure Drew is following any trend here, this just looks like typical comfy Drew.

Britney Spears wore a pair of Hudson Capri Jeans while shopping at the Lisa Klein boutique the other day. Britney is like a bad car wreck – I’m not quite sure why we look at her, but yet, we can’t look away either. As in the past, she has the right clothes, but she never manages to look all that put together.

I’m just not sure these cute jeans are super flattering on her. Is it just me? Or do you like her look?

Apple Bottom Jeans is doing well on the web it seems. The brand is the #5 most searched denim brand according to Women’s Wear Daily. Quite an achievement because the top four are Rock & Republic, True Religion, Diesel, and Guess! Can you believe it? To what do you think they attribute their success? Maybe its that song by Flo Rida…”Apple Bottom Jeans…Boots With The Fur…”. My guy asked me the other day what the heck Apple Bottom jeans were. UGLY I responded! Not to be a jeans snob, well…okay, call me what you will, but Apple Bottoms are hideous in my opinion, and just another reason why celebs should not attempt to design jeans. (Apple Bottoms are designed by rap star Nelly). How could #5 not have been 7 for All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, or even Levi’s for goodness sake!

We’ve always loved that Diesel (carries inseams at 30″, 32″ and 34″) and Joe’s Jeans (the Provocateur style) carried shorter inseams for those of us who are not of supermodel stature. But now, increasingly, 7 for All Mankind is offering jeans with shorter inseams as well. Finally! ShopBop has an entire category dedicated to Jeans for Petites. I am 5′7″ – so not exactly petite, but my legs are not super long either. I have to hem all my jeans that are 34″ and longer so I would buy the 7 for All Mankind Jeans that have a 32″ inseam which would be perfect on me. I have a feeling many girls are like me – not short but not super tall either, and could wear these that have 32″ inseams. Love!
