Britney Spears was spotted in Hollywood on April 17th wearing her new pair of Paige Premium Denim Kinney Shorts that she picked up on her recent shopping spree at Paige, along with some cute Juicy Couture flip flops. My only comment: sweetheart fix the wedgie, don’t just walk around like that in front of all those photographers!

Superstar Britney Spears joined designer Paige Adams-Geller for a shopping trip at Paige Premium Denim – home to the designer’s famed jeans. The two spent just over an hour shopping at Paige’s Robertson Boulevard flagship where Britney chose about 9 pairs of jeans.
Joined by an assistant and two bodyguards, Britney wandered the store alongside Paige as the two chose jeans and tops to outfit the famed singer. Of her favorite picks were the Roxbury jean – a cigarette style pant available in two colors. She also picked up the Blue Heights in Black – a skinny jean in Paige’s ultra soft denim. Last but not least Britney chose the signature Laurel Canyon Boot Cut in the new McKinley wash. In addition to her denim favorites Britney chose 9 tops as well, two pairs of Abbot Kinney shorts, and the Sunset Leather jacket. I’m not usually a big fan of leather jackets but Paige’s is beautiful!
While the paparazzi came to blows outside (the police had to help Britney out of the store!) the real action was inside where Britney and Paige shopped away. Our sources at Paige say the pop tart was in a great mood and very sweet to the staff at the boutique while she shopped til’ she dropped.
By the way, in case you are wondering, Britney wore a pair of People’s Liberation jeans to the store, which she is spotted in often - will Paige replace her People’s Liberation collection?

The Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson was spotted out clubbing showing off more than just her cute Gucci bag recently in Hollywood! Ahem! Ummm, yeah, the jeans - duh! They are Paige Premium Denim in the Pico Skinny cut. So Hef actually let her go out after 10pm? Wow…I watch way too much reality TV.

Opened up my local newspaper this morning, and there before me was this great article about jeans and thought our readers might appreciate it too.

Rather than wondering, “Do I look fat in these jeans?” why not “be comfortable in your genes”? That’s the message of the 20th annual National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, which runs through Saturday. The group encourages men and women to cultivate a healthy body and body image.
As part of the effort, Paige Premium Denim is selling denim and silver bracelets engraved with the “Be Comfortable in Your Genes” message, available for $25 at EmbraceYourGenes.org. All proceeds go to the National Eating Disorders Association.

Our question: Paige Premium Denim has recently begun carrying up to size 34 in jeans for women, about the equivalent of a size 14/16 dress size. Do you think Paige offering jeans in bigger sizes is healthy for women’s body images, or is encouraging women to embrace being a size 14/16 a health risk because that’s typically considered to be overweight? Are we embracing the fact that America is getting heavier, or are we still too obsessed with being model thin and thus encouraging eating disorders?

How far would you go for animals? Some of our favorite denim designers use leather in their back pocket designs like the pair of Paige Premium Denim jeans below (leather on the Paige logo). Would you stop wearing them because they use leather? And do you think what PETA is doing to designers like Donna Karan is right?
Donna Karan just got punked by PETA! The fur loving designer’s home was raided by a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) protestor who worked her way in with lattes. I’m not making this up, either. PETA is out to get Karan for using fur in her fashions. To get back at the fiesty designer, PETA sent someone to Donna’s swanky Central Park West pad to let her have it.
A reprentative for PETA, Michael McGraw, says the group sent “a fashionably dressed young woman, clad in knee-high black boots and a denim miniskirt” to her apartment where she was welcomed with open arms (at first).
The girl also carried a DVD player and waited patiently for Karan to arrive back at home. When Donna showed up, the PETA protestor played a video of animals being slaughtered for fur.
“I can’t watch this now. I have somewhere to be,” Karan told the PETA lady. “I just really don’t have the time.”
“I’ve seen all these [videos], but for me it’s just purses and accessories,” Donna added.
To that the PETA rep fired back, “But for me and millions of other people, these are animals. They suffer terribly as they are electrocuted, gassed and skinned alive for their pelts.”
Meanwhile, she was bounced from Karan’s apartment as the doorman and assistant were skinned!
