New Jeans Trends
More Fashion Week!

You want fashion week details? Everything you could want is here! New York Magazine has a huge section on its website dedicated to all things Fashion Week! You can even sort by designer, what type of clothing, whether Couture or Casual….etc! Pictures, video, where to start! We personally love the jeans section! Looks like skinny jeans, high waisted jeans, and destroyed jeans are still all in the mix for the coming year! Photos courtesy FirstView
New Marc Jacob shoes…would you wear these with your designer denim?

Debuted on the runway on September 12th at Marc Jacob’s preview Spring show which featured everything backwards…. Some things should just stay on the runway, but we’d love to see how the models actually walked in these!
The show was attended by several celebrities including Victoria Beckham and Mischa Barton. Models pranced down the runway in an array of rather unwearable items, including these “backward heels” – wow! Would you wear these if you saw them in a store?
Designer sizing

Check out this interesting article from the UK about designer sizing. Do you notice this in certain brands? Truth be told, we do love a store who’s size 4′s we fit into instead of a 6! Do you notice this as much in designer denim brands?

Fashion Week in L.A. and Seattle brings a consciousness about Green Jeans

This week was fashion week in both L.A. and Seattle. Yes, Seattle. Winning awards for their Supima denim in L.A. were Goldsign, Seven for All Mankind, Paige Premium Denim, J Brand and more. What is Supima denim you might ask…Supima is the world’s finest cotton. Of the over 115 million bales of cotton produced worldwide each year, less than 1% is qualified to carry the Supima name. Supima, short for Superior Pima, is renowned for its superior fiber length, strength and natural luster. Seattle’s fashion week also brought awareness about Sling and Stones, an organic designer denim with 24kt gold rivets. Check out the HonestForum discussion on Green Jeans. Would you buy them?
