Next to jump on the neon trend is 7 For All Mankind! They have their Skinny cut coming in Neon Pink, Neon Yellow and Neon Green. The yellow and the pink are already available for pre-order on Revolve Clothing but the green isn’t out yet.

I think Revolve found it quite hard to pick the colour up with their cameras, I know neons are hard to shoot correctly, but from what I have seen, the pink ones are not so red, they seem quite pink, a lot like a highlighter pen. When we announced this coming trend a few months ago, I was hoping that 7 For All Mankind would be close to releasing theirs! So how many of you are going to be wearing neon jeans? I think the prediction of neon jeans for Spring/Summer 2012 is coming true! Matches have just put their Pre-SS12 collection online and it features these 4 neon jeans by AG Adriano Goldschmied! They have pink, orange, yellow and blue and I am so excited to see them available already! I thought we would be waiting a few months yet! What do you think of them? Siwy Rose Skinny jeans in Escapade.

Metallic jeans sometimes make an appearance in designers collections but I’ve noticed a trend of more metallic jeans popping up for the coming Fall season. Instead of just having an ordinary metallic coating, I’ve noticed the look of cracked/brushed metallic paint or foil on the jeans. They give the appearance of a rustic and worn in look. I actually quite like it! The Siwy Rose jeans above in Escapade are a style I can envision some celebs wearing actually. Chambray has been hot on the runways for the past few seasons and the Fall/Winter 2011 collections were no different. It made it’s most recent appearance in Adam’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection but the look was far from casual. Chambray shirts paired with dark wash jeans and topped with fur was a luxurious take on the denim on denim look. The collection also featured dark wash, slim cut jeans, paired with delicate lace for an overall sophisticated look.

Colored denim never really went away, it just sat on the back-burner for quite some time while other trends got notice. But one color seems to be getting noticed by many denim companies lately. Yes it’s purple. The jewel toned bottom walked in Balmain (in suede) and now many others have come out with their styles in the color.

There are quite a few to choose from. There are the purple velvet Marrakesh jeans that are part of the collaborated line between Liberty and MiH. Siwy has their Hannah Crop in Lilac. Joe’s Jeans and Paige Premium both came out with their leggings in this great color. Then there are the Acne Kex Crystal Skinny in Lilac. 1. Cargos

Cargos have been gaining popularity this summer and will continue to be a trend through this fall. It started with the J Brand Houlihan cargo but almost ever designer is releasing their own take on it. 2. Denim leggings

Denim leggings started gaining popularity last fall and are still a trend that’s going strong. This will still be a popular trend for upcoming fall and winter. Denim leggings are great because you can wear them in a variety of different ways, tucking them into boots or wearing them with tunics and flats. Plus, they’re typically made from stretchy material and are super soft. Check out the Wiki for some popular options.

3. Printed Denim

Brands like MiH and J Brand have collaborated with designers to release special edition printed collections. Prints range from tribal inspired, to abstract or to the really daring, leopard print, like those from Sass & Bide. If you’re on the more daring side, these are certainly a fun addition to your wardrobe.

4. Waxed Denim

Waxed denim is quickly finding popularity with celebrities. Like the cargo pant, almost every brand has debuted this sleek look. Waxed denim is a great alternative to another popular trend this season, leather pants. It’s great because it is less expensive and also more breathable. 5. Wide Leg Denim

It’s time to give your skinnies a break! Wide leg denim is starting to make a come back and tons of celebrities have been spotted out wearing it. One of the perks of this trend is that it is universally flattering. Wide leg jeans look great with heels or flats or can be dressed up with a fun 70s style that is popular right now.

6. Studded Denim

Studs are everywhere! From shorts to vests to jeans. Studs have been a popular addition to jeans for a couple of seasons. This trend is still a popular one and will continue to be one for fall. Studs are great because they add some toughness to your everyday look. Brands like Current/Elliott make a variety of different studded styles or if you’re feeling really adventurous, try Robin’s jeans.

7. Patchwork Denim

Patchwork denim was a popular trend on the runway (Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer 2010) and has made its way down to the mass market. Brands like Jet Jeans and Elizabeth and James each have extremely wearable patchwork styles. They look great contrasted with heels or a nice shirt.

Fergie has been quite adventurous when it comes to denim. She’s worn spiked and studded styles, bright colors, and even an ombre pair. Most recently, she stepped out to get her hair styled, wearing a pair of snake skin denim pants, which she wore with a black fringe jacket and boots.

Many designers are starting to add printed jeans to their collections. Sass + Bide have released a leopard print pair, which celebs like Vanessa Hudgens are fans of. Each designer had a unique interpretation of J Brand that continues to expand the breadth of our brand.  Our mission is to be a fashion leader that is making a difference; the project will help support future young designers through the Centre for Fashion Enterprise, the London organization that provides business guidance and mentoring for emerging fashion design talent.”

Recently I blogged about Levi’s new innovative line, Levi’s Curve, which offers jeans that are meant to fit beyond just waist size. Levi’s Curve is meant to focus on providing the best fits for your curves. They launched three different styles One, for women who find the fit in the hips and thighs good but are too tight in the waist, a demi curve (if your jeans “usually fit in the waist but don’t flatter the figure”) and a bold curve (if jeans “fit in the hips and thighs, but gap in the back”).

The line celebrated their launch in Bryant Park, NYC (The former home of Mercedes Benz Fashion week!) on August 27th. What launch would be complete without celebrities? Although celebrities like Emma Roberts and Katherine Heigl have already picked up pairs, Bobbie Thomas was one guest in attendance, as well as a performance by Janelle Monae.
