Another brand teaming up with Selfridges for an exclusive jean, following the launch of their new Denim Studio, is Paige! Paige and fine jewellery designer, Susan Foster, have created the brand new Luxe jean which retails at a whopping ┬ú11,000! That’s just over $17,000 in American money. The jean is hand made in LA and is completely one of a kind though, so there will only be one pair in the whole world!
Truly living up to its price tag, the black ultra skinny style is adorned with angel wing charms featuring over 2 carats of diamonds. Beautifully faceted 1.43 carat diamond slices and micro pave diamonds weighing 1 carat exactly are encased with 18 carat blackened white gold.
The jeans themselves are hand made in LA from the highest quality Japanese denim with a cashmere hand feel and feature a pure silk lining, luxury hardwear and Swarovski crystal buttons and rivets. Inspired by the androgyny of tuxedo dressing, this style is perfectly paired with a crisp white shirt and blazer. No need to overdo it on the accessories, you can leave your jewels in the safe.
“I am very excited to be launching this enormously special jean exclusively with Selfridges. This style has been a labor of love for myself and Susan Foster; inspired by the city we call home and using some of the worlds best materials.”
So, will any of you DenimBlog readers (with a spare £11,000 to spend) be purchasing these one of a kind diamond encrusted Paige jeans? What do you think of them?
Forget about ‘The Little Black Dress’ this season and opt for ‘The Little Black Jean’. J Brand released their new ‘Little Black Jeans’ collection exclusively at Selfridges to coincide with the opening of their Denim Studio. As an avid fan of black jeans (I own over 20 pairs and counting), this is a collection that I am all for.
The evolution of the Little Black Jean begins with the timeless appeal of J Brand style. They combined the silhouette of their classic skinny jean with the concept of black being a go-to color for evening. With those ideas in mind, the idea was paired with their innovative new nylon stretch cotton fabric. The deep black sheen of the fabric is embellished with bright 24K gold plated detailing that lends a dash of glamor to the design. You can see the jeans styled by Karl Templer on model Sam Rollinson and shot by the amazing Craig McDean below.
Frame has always been a brand that I associated with clean smart styles, but they surprised me this season by releasing distressed styles in their popular skinny fit. The Le Color Ripped currently comes in two washes at the moment, Blanc and Noir, and feature shreds going down the legs of the jeans.
I can already see their current fans like Miranda Kerr being fond of these as well as grabbing the attention of some new followers. What do you think of them? All I think they need is a slouchy tank or cropped top and some ankle cowboy boots to be perfect for a Summer look. Click here to purchase the Blanc wash at REVOLVEclothing for $199.
Cargo pants are slowly becoming big again the past few seasons. Many have reinterpreted their own classic styles by making them look even tougher with different detailing each season. One that is never shy on the detailing is Rag & Bone.
They just released their new Lariat jeans, or what I like to call them, the child of the Hailfax and Rally jeans. These are sure to toughen up any look with the zippers and seaming down the front. Click here to purchase these jeans from their website for $253.
