When it comes to stonewashed denim, it is very difficult to get right, but when it is, I find it to be very modern and versatile just like any other light washed pair. One that has taken the usually dated wash and made them of today is Joe’s Jeans.
With their new Vintage Reserve Skinny Ankle in Padma, they have taken that old school aesthetic and muted it in a way that allows them to standout without being severe. Wear them slouchy with some chunky heeled ankle boots or keep them fitted and pair them with a blazer for a smart look. They are ones that will definitely have people turning their heads and asking you about them. You can click here to purchase these jeans now from REVOLVEclothing for $165.
Hudson was all about mix-media this season, but mostly using leather and denim in more techniques than you could think of. As I was searching through their website, I came across their new Nico Vice Versa in Mirage. These are a more subtle approach to the mix-media style that has taken over with the use of suede.
Suede has to be one of my favorite mediums for jeans, which is what makes me a fan of these. It is an elevated version of the timeless black denim. Then with the mix of the two, it gives a chic vibe. You can click here to purchase these jeans from the Hudson website.
Here is another denim jumpsuit which is popping up on the scene! It’s by Paige Denim and is called the Lexie Jumpsuit in London Sky wash. The trend of denim jumpsuits is getting more popular by the day and I’m sure we will start seeing a lot more celebs out and about in their own! Just like overalls were popular this summer, these are a great step up!
The Lexie features the brands classic Jimmy Jimmy boyfriend fit at the bottom and the popular Paige chambray shirt above. The inspiration came from the classic flight suits! Paige will also be launching a shorts version of this called the Jackson Romper in exactly the same wash, London Sky. What do you think of it? Will you be opting into the trend?
The denim jumpsuit/boiler suit is fixed to be the next biggest trend with brands coming out with their own takes throughout this season. Next to take on the style is Citizens of Humanity with their Annaika Jumpsuit.
The new style is made of a dark washed lightweight chambray with sleek clean detailing with a hint of ease from the drawstring. Whether you choose to layer it with sweaters and a jacket or wear it solo, this is a style that will take you from season to season. You can click here to purchase this jumpsuit from Shopbop $298.
