Here is another new style for the men to try out. 7 For all Mankind have come out with the “Dagger” fit, which is a loose tapered jean. These are a more exaggerated version of their “Jared” fit. It is looser in the hips and smaller at the bottom, much like its namesake, a dagger. I like the simple detailing on these jeans, they are really great. The back pockets are simple but by tilting the fabric a bit to the side gives that great detail without putting a lavish logo design. They also only have one flap. Which is really on trend with the missing pocket details.
I also think the slim trouser like style is great too. You would be able to dress them up or wear them casually around town. Especially in the dark wash, called Nustone, that it comes in. They also look like really great pants to just lounge in. The fabric looks really lightweight. You can purchase these at 7 For All Mankind for $178.
Another brand coming out with their own cargos is Black Orchid. But unlike the many other brands they have stuck to denim for this new style. The Black Rider skinny Cargos come in three different washes: The Newton wash which is a dark blue wash with fading and whiskering. Next is the Midnight wash which is a clean dark blue and last is the Eclipse which is a faded black wash (which is huge this season). They all come in their wonderful jegging material. So these are bound to be comfortable.
I think the washes of these have such a rich quality to them, I think they look fantastic. I think the little detail around the knee is great too, it gives that little extra to them than just adding cargo pockets to a pair of jeans and calling them “cargo”. The only thing these are missing (personal opinion) are ankle zips on the inseam. Black Orchid is a favorite among celebs such as Ellen Pompeo, Paris Hilton, Reese Witherspoon, and more. I wonder which of one these celebs will be caught wearing these cargos. You can purchase these cargos at BlackLabelBoutique for $150.
Rock & Republic have come out with their own line of denim leggings and I think they are really cute! I haven’t tried a pair yet but I really like the classic Rock & Republic fit and seeing as they are really stretchy and they have some cute washes I may give these a try! I am a huge fan of denim leggings as you know!
I love the Embrace wash, the Obsessed wash and the Defiant Black wash. They are so pretty! The blue is really deep and cute and the black is a very strong jet black. I was surprised at the prices of these too! Rock & Republic are normally known for their higher price tag but at $148 a pair they definitely wont break the bank! They have 6 different washes to choose from as well, you can see them in the gallery below. Click here to shop Rock & Republic denim leggings.
In addition to the Fall/Winter 2010, some capsule pieces have been added to the new Genetic Denim collection and they have cargos. There are four new styles in their amazing fits and wonderful fabrics to choose from. They have “The Aztec” which is a cargo in their most popular fit “The Shane.” “The Bounty” which is roomier boyfriend cargo. Along with the cargos, chinos have also been added to the collection. There is “The Prep,” which is a trouser style that comes in an olive green colour and last is “The Rane,” which is a slouchy fit pant that comes in a khaki coloured wash.
I really like how the fit of these aren’t skin tight. The fabric also looks amazing, really light weight and super soft like all their denim. These new styles will range from $149 – $176. I’m sure these will go out fast like many of the Genetic styles.
