Here is a new style by Etoile Isabel Marant. Not to be confused with Isabel Marant… Etoile is the lower priced collection. This is the Pamina jacket. It has the classic denim jacket look, but the style is pumped up with the sequined collar.
I think the wash of the jacket is really great. I find it hard to really pull off a dark washed denim jacket and I think this wash won’t be a hard one to pair with any look. Sequins are also a give or take for me, but I think they worked it really well into the collar, giving it sherpa lining feel. Click here to purchase this jacket at Net-A-Porter for $660.
Last season saw the introduction of new fit styles to the HL Jeans Co. portfolio. The collection has continued to build on the success of these with the inauguration of new denim and exciting chino lines.
Denim such as the ‘Bradley Raw’ is a five pocket slim fit, straight leg, button fly, with branded rivet ticket pocket, that is perfect for the ‘pin rolled’ look. The Kendall Medium also brings a new wash and finish to the collection with knee repair, hand sanding and paint daubed detailing. This season we also see the return of the Premium Selvedge denim and the Brett Raw, which is an easy carrot fit, on trend jean. The Brett Raw features a double belt loop at centre back with a ‘Brett’ leather patch on the back waistband. Finish options available are – Medium Wash, Raw, Dark Vintage, Medium Vintage, Dark Wash and Dirty Wash.
The legwear range now also offers two styles of chino, the ‘Hampton’ and the ‘Franklin’, available in 5 colours including the striking ‘Berry’, ‘Drill’ and ‘Merlot’- all key tones for A/W11.
Charlie Simpson (originally from the band Busted) was seen shopping at the HL Jeans Co. store on Carnaby Street last week too! I wonder what he picked up?
J Brand have released two new styles, the Jodhpur pant (above) and two pairs of real leather jeans in red and black (below). The new pants are called the Jodhpur in Vintage Stallion, the Real Leather skinny in Black and the Real leather skinny in Red. When I first heard that J Brand were releasing a Jodhpur jean, I thought that it would probably look terrible. I remember these pants when riding horses as a little girl. I couldn’t really see how they would catch on as a trend but after seeing the finished product, I quite like it. It reminds me a lot of their Agnes and Houlihan pants but without the hip zippers or cargo pockets. I find the Vintage Stallion wash to compliment the style nicely as well.
The real leather skinny jeans are as I expected, I love the red colour and of course there is the classic black. I can see a lot of celebs who like real leather pants wearing these actually. I’m wondering who we will spot first! These do come with a very hefty price tag of £895 though! I can’t imagine them being that popular among us denim addicts due to the price and I also can’t imagine them being that comfortable. I definitely prefer the fake leather options over the real leather. But what do you think of the new styles? Do you like them or will you wear them? All of these styles are available to buy and pre-order online at TrilogyStores.
I love these! I have been waiting for the brands to come out with some suede jeans/leggings/trousers/or whatever skinny styles are out now. I just think they are the casual counterpart to leather and are perfect for fall.
These are the new Pull-Up Suede Leggings in Washed Castle by Current/Elliott. They come in their classic legging fit, but with ankle-zippers and no pockets. I hope Current/Elliott keeps come out with the suedes in their zip-legging style with the pockets and in more colors. You can click here to purchase these leggings at Net-A-Porter for $795.
