Here is a closer look at the Aggy Leather Pants from the new J Brand RTW collection. It is a super skinny high-waisted style with ankle-zips going all the way up at the back of the calves. I find the details to be really amazing! Something that I can even see being sent down the runways in Paris. Fashion Week is coming up and I hope to see some of the editors and stylists wearing these.
What I like about the J Brand RTW line is that the pieces are always edgier than their main line. The pieces still have the clean lines and tailoring, but there is always that extra detail that makes them stand out amongst any other pair of leather pants, sweater or shirt. Paige Denim recently released their Houndstooth Ultra Slim Verdugo denim leggings in more colours! They have yellow, red, faded black and a blue/purple. The yellow ones above would have to be my favourite! I think they are so cool!
Houndstooth goes through its phases where it’s popular one moment and then it disappears for a while, but I hope we see a lot of celebs out rocking these! They are definitely a fun way to make your outfit edgy! I know we have seen Gwen Stefani in their classic black and white pair, but I hope she might opt for a coloured version. What do you think of them? You can buy them online at PaigeUSA.com.
J Brand has released two new styles, one of their own and one as part of their collaboration with Christopher Kane. First are the 1448 The Brix Cargo Pants (above). They have reinterpreted their ever popular skinny cargo pants yet again. Like their Maverick, these feature zippers at the hips, but unlike the Maverick these have even more zippers and no trouser pockets. The motorcycle stitching also got an update as well. Instead of being rounded to contour the knees, these are straight across. Which I think gives off a more slimmer silhouette.
Another new style that has been released is part of their collaboration with Christopher Kane, the Salopette jeans. They come in two washes, the CK Khaki and the CK Vox. Both come with a design that will toughen up anything that you wear with it. They feature motorcycle stitching at the knees, as well as vertical seaming at the back of the calves ending with ankle zips. Which one is your favorite? Tommy Bahama has come out with a pair of jeans made with COOLMAX® technology denim! The jean is called the Kingsley and the fabric is multi-season, durable and eco-friendly!
COOLMAX® has a unique set of properties that adapt to various seasons and weather conditions. The fabric technology is specifically engineered to tackle the challenge of constant, sudden and changing weather conditions. When spending a hot day at the beach, COOLMAX® pulls moisture away from the body keeping you cool and clean. And when in cold and rainy weather, absorbent fibers provide accelerated drying time and insulation effects that add comfort and weather protection.
The soft fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles, is designed for extreme performance, making it resistible to abrasion and long-lasting. The Kingsley jean itself is a straight leg cut which retails for $128. What do you think of the COOLMAX┬« denim? Do you think it’s a great idea?
