Colored denim never really went away, it just sat on the back-burner for quite some time while other trends got notice. But one color seems to be getting noticed by many denim companies lately. Yes it’s purple. The jewel toned bottom walked in Balmain (in suede) and now many others have come out with their styles in the color.
There are quite a few to choose from. There are the purple velvet Marrakesh jeans that are part of the collaborated line between Liberty and MiH. Siwy has their Hannah Crop in Lilac. Joe’s Jeans and Paige Premium both came out with their leggings in this great color. Then there are the Acne Kex Crystal Skinny in Lilac. They have a great marbled purple wash that will surely make the wearer standout. Which ones are your favorite? You can check out these and more styles below.
Printed jeans/pants are going to be huge in the Fall and I think camouflage is going to be one of the top two picks by many, along with leopard. I just came across these really cool pants by Rich & Skinny the other day. They are their Moto Cropped Leggings in Fatigue. Rich & Skinny have really come out with some great styles lately, especially their Cargo Leggings in Slick Black (those are amazing!).
I like that Rich & Skinny are always on trend but their pieces are always unique with the designs. Like the camouflage print on these. They don’t have the classic clean blotches of greens, browns, and tans. These look like they have been splattered almost with the dye. It gives them a more roughed up feel, in my opinion. I also think the pocket and zipper details are nice touches, as well as the tassels. What do you readers think of these? Click here to purchase these at Nordstroms for $240.

There is a new denim brand that is out there for the men and Private Stock Denim is the name. Private Stock is designed and owned by Jon Koon, who has had many roles in the fashion world including a part in launching Domenico Vacca’s new sportswear line called Domenico Vacca Denim. So I’m sure this brand will just be another success story for him.
The collection was inspired by his travel around the world. The denim fabric itself is custom weaved Japanese denim and colored with rare indigo dyes. From the distressing to the fit, each detail is constructed with a keen eye. They have styles for every need whether it’s for just lounging around or dressing up. The collection doesn’t just consist of jeans either, it also includes chic men’s shirts and bags.
I think the detail of these jeans is great, from the dark wash to the distressing. They have a natural worn-in look that I think is hard to achieve. I also think the detail on the back pocket is great to, which represents exclusivity and luxury, it is simple yet stands out. You can expect to see this line when it launches in Spring 2011.
