Isn’t this cool to see? Vermont based snowboarding company, Burton, has designed snowboarding gear that looks just like denim for the US team at the 2010 Winter Olympics. These pants look just like denim but they are not. They are GORE-TEX®, a wind and waterproof material that will not affect the Olympians performance. It is for the US team, so of course the inspiration behind it came from the classic American style of the US. It is amazing what they can do now a days, it looks just like denim! Expect to see Olympians: Elena Hight, Mason Aguirre, Danny Davis, Kevin Pearce, Jack Mitrani, Luke Mitrani, Steve Fisher, Scotty Lago and Louie Vito wearing the gear during the Halfpipe competition. Check out the close up views, you will be amazed when you see them.
Madewell recently announced their collaboration with TV Personality, Alexa Chung. Although the collection will not be sold in stores until the fall, it debuted at New York Fashion Week. The collection featured a strong 60s vibe, with high-waisted shorts and coveralls. You can view more photos from the collection by clicking here.

Dolce & Gabbana have made denim and leopard print hot this season! They have brought out 2 new bags and a pair of knee high boots in leopard printed denim. I wasn’t so sure that I liked these at first but the more I look at them the more they appear cute. If I was picking a favourite it would be the Miss Rouches Tote, I think it’s beautiful. So what are your thoughts on animal printed denim? Do you like it? Do you think it will be hot this season? If you love these items just click on the names below to purchase them.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are to launch denim under their Elizabeth and James line. The line will be named Textile and is inspired by the 70s. The line consists of three styles at the moment: bell-bottom, a slouchy fit in a light used wash and another slouchy fit in a sun exposed wash. I’m surprised not to see any super skinny or distressed styles, those are usually associated with the twins. A full collection is in the works to come out in the fall and the current pieces will be available in March.
