Paige Picks: Verdugo Jegging in Lux

Paige is doing these very exclusive Paige Picks for her loyal fans! Each item she picks will be available to buy an entire season early! They will only be available to purchase online and at exclusive Paige Premium Denim stores. This months pick is the Verdugo Jegging in Lux – Inspired by Italian vintage lace, the Verdugo Jegging in Lux is a unique spin our our super stretch denim and features a subtle lace print overlay. I saw these jeans in person when I went to meet Paige in London in January and they are very pretty. They are a lot different to what you would normally see in a Jegging. The lace print is very subtle and very unique. These Verdugo Jeggings are only available in limited quantities so hurry if you want to be the first to own them! You can buy them here at Paige Premium. You can also visit Paige’s new blog, Paigeaholic.com.

Diesel Mintha Shorts

Diesel have brought out a brand new short this season which I have been waiting for! Mintha denim shorts! They are basically Matic jeans shorts; they have the same coin pocket and the same pockets on the back and all of the same features. They come in a few washes, 8B3 and 8XT which are in the gallery below and I have seen them in a purple and pinky colour as well.

Back in the summer last year (2009) I cut my own Matic 81M into shorts. Don’t worry, they were a back up pair, I still have a full length pair of Matic 81M, I could never cut up my only pair! I have included photos below of my own shorts but they are different because I cuffed them and obviously as they were skinny jeans before, the leg opening is tighter than what it will be on the Mintha shorts. But you can see they are pretty much identical other than that! I love them! I really hope I can get a pair soon so I can review them for our lovely DenimBlog readers. I think if I did get the Mintha shorts I would cuff them. So what do you think of these Matic style shorts?

Vince is expanding its denim collection

LA based casual wear brand, Vince, is venturing into the denim world!  The brand has released capsule collections with Shobop and Saks Fifth Avenue. This spring, they will launch their spring collection, with the addition of a men’s collection. The women’s collection was very successful, with popular sellers like denim leggings.

The men’s collection will feature skinny and straight legged styles. The women’s collection focuses on skinny and straight legged styles, as well as slouchier looks like boyfriend shorts. The brand uses Italian and Japanese fabric but is produced in LA. The line will range from $185-275.

The brand will continue to be sold at stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman, as well as Vince free standing stores.

Denim Leggings by Level 99 and Robb & Hugo

Level 99 has formulated an exciting new denim legging fabrication – The Janice cropped ankle jegging! It comes in a dark Rinse wash and retails for only $88. The jeggings are made out of a unique blend of cotton, polyester, tencel and 2% spandex. The Janice jeggings are super soft and are supremely forgiving! Level 99 has been featuring denim leggings since their Holiday 2008 Collection. They look so cute and pretty!

Robb & Hugo have also brought out a new denim legging for their Spring 2010 collection. Their Erika jegging is ultra soft and has a soft texture, light-weight feel, and great fit which make the pant so practical and comfortable. You can see the images below.

New Denim Brand: King Krash

For those of us that love PRPS jeans but just can’t afford the high price tag, here is the solution! King Krash jeans were founded by denim legend Donwan Harrell, the man behind PRPS jeans! King Krash takes its inspiration from the illegal street racing days of 1970’s Manhattan – an era of disco, fast women and even faster cars, where gang culture was rampant and the clothes you wore were as much a part of the scene as the racing itself.

A fervent muscle car junkie from a young age, Harrell ransacked his photo archives and those of his drag racing friends for King Krash inspiration. Each item is finished with Harrell’s unrivalled attention to detail and wash techniques, faithfully replicating the stains, creases, abrasions and rips resulting from a life lived in the fast lane.

The price point of these jeans is from £105-£145. Much more affordable. What do you think of the cuts and washes? These jeans are available to buy at Coggles.com.

The jacket will come in a few different washes and will retail at $999. It’s quite a price tag but for all of those studs and crystals on the jacket, you can see why!

The price points for the rest of their items are as follows: Denim – $179- $249, Denim Jackets – $229- $249, Tops /Vests – $89 – $179 and Leather Jackets – $499- $799.
