Koral Los Angeles is a new line of premium denim which has just became available in retailers nationwide. Koral is the highly anticipated brainchild of David Koral along with his father Peter and partner Rick Crane, who built the premium denim market as we know it today with the launch of 7 For All Mankind. Koral was created to get back to the essence of what makes a great pair of jeans – quality material, refined finishing and flawless fit.
The brand is making its debut with a women’s denim collection for Fall 2012, featuring its signature “Lived In Length” line and an assortment of fashion pieces including coated and tinted denim as well as a graphic colourblock collection. A men’s line will launch for Spring 2013 as well and the price point for Koral jeans will be between $160-$240.
The Koral Los Angeles collection features an array of premium denim fabrics, many of them exclusive to the brand, that convey its founders’ passion and skill. The design team worked tirelessly with some of the country’s most renowned laundries to perfect a hand processing technique that will give each pair of jeans a unique, 3D--like artisan effect, complementing its flawless fits.
Creative director Marc Atlan, who has worked with fashion houses including Comme des Garcons, Helmut Lang, Tom Ford, and Mason Martin Margiela, lends his sleek aesthetic as evident in the collection’s fine attention to detail.
I think some of the styles are absolutely amazing! The cuts look perfect fitting and the classic blues look pretty. I also love some of the fun pieces like the coated teal and other brightly coloured jeans. What do you think of the new brand Koral?

I can already see this brand being popular amongst the celebs. I can see someone like Jennifer Garner, Minka Kelly and Halle Berry wearing Dear John Denim. What are your thoughts on the new brand?
News is flying around the fashion world that Kate Bosworth, along with her stylist and Jewelmint partner Cher Coulter, will be launching their own denim line. I think this will be a great venture for both. With Kate being a style icon and Cher being one of the biggest names in the styling world, I am pretty sure the styles will be nothing less than great.
With the news being early on, there is no confirmation on whether it is a brand venture or another branch under the Beachmint franchise. If it is a Beachmint branch, my name will be first on that sign-up list. Are you excited to see what they come out with and will you sign up for a monthly membership of denim?
This Spring/Summer 2012 season, Shine is introducing their denim collection to the USA. The well known boutique on rue de Poitou has launched their own denim collection line! The collection will be available on Shopbop, Jill Roberts (LA), Kisan (NY) and many other specialty boutiques.
Shine has a range of pastel coloured denim, flares, skinny jeans and denim shirts. Each pair is made to fit the body and give a chic casual look.
