Here is a look at the Fall 09 Look Book from Blue Notch denim.

At Blue Notch we take an active stance on denim design. In our F/W09 Collection new fabric innovations include denim mixed with 30% linen or cashmere resulting in a wrinkle free body-con silhouette. Subtle vintage accents have also been added by stitching the jean surface with broken needles followed by coating the denim. This new coated ‘vintage’ denim unseen before and exclusive to Blue Notch is achieved through a special coating technique that has been developed for over three months. What makes this technique distinctive is that the process allows for the fabrics to be coated at the final production stage as opposed to using pre-coated fabric that leave sticky residue.

Progressing from our marble dyes, this season Blue Notch has experimented with gradient dying in subtle hues. Beginning with dying the waist area in the darkest hue each tone is then subsequently flushed out underneath, creating an ombre effect. This technique has an overall slimming effect whilst accentuating the curve of the body. This 4-step process is done entirely by hand by Blue Notch artisans for a look that is subtle and natural.

Our Color inspiration comes from the natural fading of denim unique to each wearer. Colors fuse and melt into one another or fade out along the contours of the body. Exquisite hues of grey blend into blue or black to plum. A natural dusty denim look has been created using indigo weft and brown warp threads. The coating technique Blue Notch has developed also imbues the colors with a sophisticated sheen.
