Designer Jean Look Books
Here is the brand new Fall/Winter 2010 Look Book for the wonderful denim brand G-Star Raw. The collection is definitely what you would expect from the brand, raw and edgy.
Hollywood actress Liv Tyler, the face of the brand, perfectly embodies the modern G-Star woman’s combination of toughness with controlled sensuality. Her striking looks and assured, independent style have made her a globally recognized model and fashion icon. Liv returns for her second G-Star campaign, having previously presented the elegant Low-T capsule-collection.
The striking black and white images were captured by Anton Corbijn in a Miami shoot that represents his fourth major advertising campaign for G-Star.
Here is a video from behind the scenes at the Topshop Autumn/Winter 2010 Look Book photo shoot. I always love behind the scenes videos so much! They really give you an insight as to what it’s like for the models, the stylists, the make up artists etc, it’s fun!
I’ve been on a photo shoot set before when I did my ASOS magazine shoot and it is a lot to do! There are so many people involved, so many props, big clothing rails and it gets boiling under the lights! I have a lot of respect for the models that do it all the time as it’s very tiring and repetitive and they make it look so easy!
I wanted to share with you lovely readers and DenimBlog fans, the new photo shoot from Black Orchid. They have gone with the black and white, glamorous, retro feel for their photos, I think these pictures have turned out great! I especially love the first one! The model looks great in those studded shorts against the printed aboriginal art style background.
How many of you love Black Orchid jeans? I really like a lot of their washes they have but the fit for me, I can’t get it to work for my body really, maybe I might have better luck with their shorts! You can buy Black Orchid jeans and shorts at Boutique To You.
Here are some pictures of the new Candie’s collection designed by Britney Spears. The collection features skirts, jackets, shirts, and of course denim. Surprisingly the collection is pretty decent. I would have never thought that she would have designed (if she designed them) these pieces. They are not the most original, but a surprise from what Britney is usually seen in.
What do you readers think of this collaboration? Do you readers like the pieces and are you just as surprised as I am seeing them? You can check out the collection for yourself below.
