Designer Jean Look Books
Here is the brand new Fall/Winter 2013 Look Book from Mavi for the ladies. The new collection features fun prints, coated denim and embellishments, including studded and moto-inspired jeans with zippers.
A lot of the prints are reminding me of tapestry and they look really pretty, especially the pair with the green and blue hues above, styling those with the purple shirt was perfect! There’s also a really pretty blue distressed pair of skinnies in this collection which I love! What do you think of the new Fall/Winter 2013 collection from Mavi? Which pieces do you want to own?
David Kahn announced they have hired Jongsik Lee as the new designer for the brand. Lee focused on textures and colors, with a hint of vintage inspiration for the brand’s upcoming Fall Winter 2013 collection.
This collection really embodies what the designer was going for. There are a wide variety of printed styles, which include animal prints on different colorways, a festive black and gold paisley pair, as well as metallic brushed finishes. The collection also focuses on a slimmer silhouette, offering skinny and straight leg styles as well as darker, more traditional washes.
The Sinclair Denim Men’s Fall Collection shares the same theme as the Women’s collection, which is D is for Dance.
One thing that stood out the most for me in this collection were the washes. Both colored and patterned jeans are a big trend for women, but we haven’t been seeing too much of it for guys. I was excited to see some pairs with fun patterns and colors in this collection. I really love the rich colors shown, like the dark green and warm browns, which are great for fall. In terms of washes, the splatter printed pair and tie dye pairs both have a great rock and roll feel to them.
The theme of the Sinclair Fall Winter 2013 Women’s collection was D is For Dance. The collection has a great edgy feel to it, but still has some great pieces for every taste.
One of the things that really stood out for this collection was the focus on the details, with a lot of great washes, distressing and seaming. One piece that caught my eye the most was a pair of cargo style pants with off-center pockets. I love this take on the trend and how it still features the pocket, but doesn’t add a lot of bulk to the look. Another aspect that stood out was the focus on seaming; a few pairs feature front seams and a streamlined moto style jean with knee seams.
