Check out the new Party 2014 holiday collection by MOTHER Denim that will soon be hitting stores. Just like their previous ones, this one is full of themes like their I Got Chills (faux leather) and Still Behind the Hustle (selvedge denim) to choose from. Just those two alone show how much variety you will be able to choose from in the new line.
In between those two, you can expect to see deep tones of reds and greens, embroidered denim shirts, distressed styles and more. One of my favorite pieces that I am excited about is their patchwork denim shirt. The piece is put together with denim that has each been hand dyed, see image 22. They didn’t stop there. This season they introduced knits to go along with their denim, like sweaters that are so soft they will make you melt. Formerly known as Jonny Q, the premium Made In Italy denim brand has recently enjoyed a strategic makeover following significant investment. As well as its abbreviated new brand name both JQ Jeans and its more directional sister brand SOS Jeans have upscaled their design division as well as their atelier workshop and laundry in Nereto, Italy, where each pair of JQ Jeans continues to be lovingly crafted by hand.
Since its inception in 1978, JQ Jeans has been defined by an obsessive dedication to inventive new pattern cutting techniques and form-fitting fabric developments to constantly challenge consumers’ perceptions of just how incredible a pair of jeans can make you look and feel.
Back in the late 1970’s JQ Jeans founder Pasquale Orza was the first to introduce stretch jeans to a disco-obsessed denim market clamoring to emulate the high-shine spray-on jeans championed by the likes of Olivia Newton John. Fast-forward 36 years and today the brand’s celebrity devotees include Victoria Beckham and Penelope Cruz with the brand stocked by the premier league of international womenswear boutiques and department stores.
No wonder then, that the world’s leading catwalk-led denim brands continue to call upon the JQ Jeans workshop and laundry when they start seeking the next big things in denim innovation. Or, that 36 years after the first collection was launched JQ Jeans remains the go-to denim brand for fit-obsessed buyers and continues to be sought out by the most recognisable A-list celebs and brand loyal devotees the world over. Check out the new Fall/Winter 2014 collection by KUT from the KLOTH. This season the brand embraced the cooler months with styles that are tailored and structured, yet have a warmth quality to them with the color palette and prints.
The brand didn’t just stop at the denim. Also included in the line are moto jackets made of vegan material, detailed sweatshirts, shirts, skirts, knits and more. You can see these pieces and more below.
DUEL DENIM – The Modern Original – is a brand new denim brand that literally just made its debut last month. I have gotten to know a couple of people behind the label and I think the washes are fantastic. This is their very first look book, debuting with their Fall 2014 collection for men, so you can get a feel for the brand. Their price range is amazing too!
