Designer Jean Look Books
Here is a look at the brand new men’s and women’s Spring 2012 Look Book for Agave Denim. The collection features a lot of their classic jeans in blue hues, as well as mixing some bold colours here and there.
Jeff and Lauren Shafer took inspirations for Spring 2012, especially colour, from Sea of Cortez and trips they made to Baja during the sixties and seventies. Spring is packed with colour reminiscent of those sunny trips and beautiful vacations. The style is “West Coast Luxury” and is not defined by age, but by ones inner confidence and ability to enjoy the simple beauty of life.
Jeff and Lauren always regard designing an art, and fabric as their canvas. They are both extremely passionate about finding the most innovative luxury fabrics every season. They feel this determines every element of their design details and fits. Jeff spends hours hunting and scouring boutique mills for the best. Lauren is truly fanatical about fit, and as designer and fully trained pattern maker, she typically makes her own first set of samples to see how they look.
The Shafers use only the finest Japanese, Italian or USA-made Supima cotton denims and luxury fabrics and work with select boutique mills to design fabrics exclusive to Agave. All Agave jeans and knits are cut, sewn and hand-finished in Los Angeles, California too. So what do you think of the collection?
Here is the new Spring/Summer 2012 Men’s collection by IRO. The collection has the classic IRO aesthetic of comfort, grunge, but still looking smart. That’s what I love most about this line. It never goes to the point where the styling looks like they rummaged through the garbage.
Unlike the previous collections, this season features some color. Not a lot, but there is color. There is a pair of yellow jeans, which I quite like. They also had their classics like leather, baseball jackets, and blazers. You can see the collection below.
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! IRO just gets it right each season and their Spring/Summer 2012 collection is no different. There is also the return of Dewi Driegen this season. No other model depicts the IRO aesthetic better than her.
For this season the looks had range. It had everything for every type of girl. Many of you will not be disappointed. They ranged from ethereal to their classics, laid-back Parisian cool and the Rock chick. One thing that I did notice this season, that is different than their past ones, is that there are no leather pants. Something that is not necessary each season, but I just enjoy seeing the new details they put into them each time.
The pieces are just amazing. My favorites would have to be the knits. The one from Look 9 is perfect. I also love the jackets from Looks 2 and 18. The jeans came out in some great washes and prints as well. They had floral and feather/fan print, as well as yellows and blues. Everything is just perfect. You can check out the Look Book below.
Ksubi will always have a certain spot in my heart when it comes to premium denim. They were the first brand that made me fall back in-love with denim again and the one that got me addicted to ankle-zips (I seriously think no skinny jean is complete without them). Plus they were the one of the first ones to come out with the super skinny jean. So we should all thank them for that.
Here is their new Spring/Summer 2012 look book. The name of the collection is WAR. The vibe of the collection is very grunge. There was no lack of leopard, washed out blues, blacks and leather. I just love the color palette. When I saw all the olive green and outerwear, I instantly fell for this collection. That tan leather jacket with the leopard cuffs is just everything. I can see many girl’s wanting it. Hey…I want it. It’s so cool! I also find their studded denim jacket, baseball jacket, and hoodies are pretty insane…in a good way.
There is some new detail that Ksubi added to their jeans as well this season. The men’s jeans feature some motorcycle stitching and the women’s feature leather. There is also a distressed pair of jeans that have leopard patches inside the jeans. The women weren’t left out of the leopard denim either. They also came out with a tan leopard pair for the women.
