Designer Jean Look Books
Here is a look at the new Spring/Summer 2015 collection by Black Orchid. For the upcoming season, the label gave us an update on their classic favorites like a sun bleached skinny and marbled zipper style. They didn’t just stop there though, also included are some amazing oversized outerwear pieces and their take on athleisure with some lightweight drawstring trousers.
This would have to be my favorite look book to see from Black Orchid, not only because of the range, but because of the photography as well. They have taken the photography to a level of a magazine spread instead the average look book. Definitely something that I appreciate. The denim collaborations with models continue, this time with Joan Smalls and True Religion. For the new 16 piece collection, Joan wanted to go for pieces that were simple and comfortable, yet made a statement. From the sweaters emblazoned with suena to marbled washed jeans, the collection is full of pieces that will be favored by anyone.
Joan didn’t just stamp her name on the collection, but put in her experience from working with the top designers in the world. As we all know, it is about the back pockets when it comes to jeans and the model states the classic denim mantra, “Your butt has to look good, if it doesn’t, they’re not working!” Check out the new collection below and click here to purchase the collection now from the website.

Free People have a new Vintage Loves Collection called She Sent Postcards and I think it’s really fun! The 150 piece collection is marked by special cotton tops, gauze dresses, and embroidered jackets featuring a broad array of bright colors and bohemian inspired prints, however, some of the highlights are one-of-a-kind denim pieces, including patchwork widelegs, painted denim cutoffs, and 4 pocket shortalls, which we are most interested in! You can see the collection in the gallery just below, what do you think of it? I think the embroidered jacket is pretty cool! I also like the denim shorts.
