Designer Jean Look Books
For the sixth collection of Amsterdams Blauw, Maison Scotch takes it right back to where it all started. This means the people, places and products that have inspired the designers for decades. The icons of denim.
I think the collection is amazing and they have so many stand out pieces! The light wash bleached/tie-dye print above is my favourite. I think it’s beautiful and would be so versatile, which is rare for tie-dye! They also have paint splatters, embroidery down the outerseams, classic washes with distressing and then another favourite piece of mine, the sleeveless denim jacket with the fleece lining. You can check out the full collection in the gallery below. Do you like it?
Punk is a huge theme for the coming season. For their take on the trend, Citizens of Humanity has released a capsule collection that includes pieces that embody the decayed influence of the theme.
They did not skimp on the studs. Everything from their new Logan jeans and jackets to a plaid shirt were emblazoned with studs in different motifs, such as crosses. Also in the collection are some overalls and a frayed denim vest that they have dubbed Hesher. Which piece are you looking forward to trying from this collection?
Here is the brand new Holiday 2013 Look Book from Paige Denim, for both men and women. The styling in this Look Book is so different from what I am used to with Paige! It’s really tough and edgy, with that monochrome vibe to it. It’s very editorial and I really like it! Especially the way the jeans are styled as well, it’s a step away from what Paige usually does.
You can expect to see the classic skinny fits from Paige in various shades of dark and a stand alone Rose Gold metallic jean. There are a couple of prints as well as shirts, so it’s an all round clothing collection. There are so many jeans I would love to own here! Which do you like the most? Are you excited for the collection to be available?
RtA’s (Which stands for Road to Awe) Fall/Winter 2013 collection was inspired by combining both feminine and androgynous with street-style and naturalistic elements.
The RtA collection focuses on dark colors and washes, with detailing like shredding and patches, as well as waxed and metallic washes. I really love some of the unique details from this collection, one of my favorite pairs is the partially waxed pair (pictured above) because I love how the light blue denim contrasts the waxing. What do you think of this collection? Do you like it or not?
