Designer Jean Look Books
Liverpool Jeans is a new brand that has come to our attention with their Fall 2012 Look Book. They mentioned to me that their jeans are made from innovative denim fabrics with lift and shape solutions, following a woman’s natural curves to provide a long, sleek and slimming effect.
Liverpool Jeans was inspired by the music of The Beatles and the women who influenced them, so their cut names reflect this perfectly! They have Abby’s Skinny, Eleanor’s Trouser, Jude’s Crop, Lucy’s Bootcut, Maggie’s Bermuda, Madonna’s Wide Leg, Michelle’s Capri, Prudence’s Pedal Pushers, Rita’s Bootcut and Sadie’s Straight. All of the Liverpool Jeans also have a Paul McCartney and John Lennon lyric/quote printed on the front inside pocket to keep with the theme.
They also all retail under $100 so it’s a great price to accommodate into your shopping budget! Liverpool Jeans are currently being stocked at Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Dillard’s so you can pick up a pair there if you like them! What do you think of the brand? I’m quite attracted to their jewel tones in the Look Book below!
Here is the brand new Look Book for Spring/Summer 2013 from Cotte D’Armes! They held a presentation for the brand during New York Fashion Week which turned out really well. The brand’s creative director is Clarence Ruth, who has over a decades worth of experience in the fashion industry. Clarence is the native son of New York born Autumn 1981 and has been designing clothing for over a decade breaking onto the New York fashion scene with Modern Chimp, an English prep mixed with American rock theme fabric-based accessory line.
More recently Clarence expanded his contribution to the fashion world with his work for some of the most respected and trend setting designers in the industry. As head of visuals for Abercombie Fitch, Ralph Lauren and GQ designer of the year, John Varvatos, Clarence Ruth’s work has been seen throughout Manhattan and the Hamptons. These world-class icons relied on Clarence’s creative genius everyday to create an atmosphere on par with their clothing. While Clarence intends to continue impacting some of Manhattan’s most notable boutiques with his creative judgment, he is now applying his creative juice to a new fashion label.
Cotte D’Armes is a new denim approach full collection of bottoms, tops and outer garments. Based in the military essence fused with a hint of biker the distress and raw bleach treatment to the denim generates the sense of rebel darkness of the navy seal…gone rogue. You can see all of the new styles in the gallery below. What do you think of them?
Here is the look book that I look forward to each season, IRO. Like the seasons prior, Fall 2012 is perfectly tailored, always French, and always chic. Their classic pieces were reinterpreted with prints, different skins, and the detail that they cannot go without…SEQUINS.
Gone this season is the heavy distressing. You can find their classics such as knit sweaters, slouchy and skinny jeans, perfect cut outerwear, and leather covered in prints and/or color. This is another collection that IRO hit right again. They are pieces that are timeless and pieces that you want more of. You can see the full collection below.
