Designer Jean Look Books
Courtshop’s Spring Summer 2016 collection has been released and includes a variety of different cuts and washes, perfect for the warming temperatures. The collection features a variety of styles, everything from a classic denim jacket to cropped denim tees and rompers, in washes ranging from light indigo to black. I love the variety of the collection and the modern takes on some of the styles, like the denim dresses, which would have tons of wearabilty. Check out the look book below and shop them online here.
Here is the brand new Siwy Spring/Summer 2016 Look Book which celebrates the return of the golden era, the 1970s. The brand was inspired by the decade of discovery, exploration and change.
Jimmy Taverniti’s vision for the Spring 16 collection zones in on the American denim roots and the rebellious styles of the era. Using vintage inspired washes, embroidered motifs, and layering stretch fabric under destroyed denim, the collection is bold, feminine, and reflects the ever changing experimentation of the time.
Siwy’s take on high waisted boyfriend fits, extreme high waisted cut off shorts, and high waisted skinny styles are the pillar pieces in the line. Exploring further into a lifestyle category, Siwy introduces knit jersey and tri-blend tops, lace tunics, and other complimentary pieces to round off the line. You can shop Siwy online at their website.
Check out the new Spring 2016 collection by LEVI’S Made & Crafted. The new collection has taken inspiration from the colors of the California deserts in just about every aspect, as just like denim, the beauty in the desert has a natural allure.
You can see everything from the outerwear to the denim taking notes in terms of color, visuals and wear. The colors are of khaki hues to greys to mimic the sand and stones. The beauty lends inspiration to prints and there is my favorite one the wear. They have taken inspiration from the elements themselves to inspire washes from ones that have the roughness of worn landscapes to the smooth stones that inspire the cleaner pieces. Definitely an inspiration that LEVI’S was able to bring into fruition in more aspects than one. You can see the whole look book below.
While the men’s Spring 2016 collection took inspiration from punk, R13 pushed the boundaries on grunge with their women’s line. The new pieces have been given a cleaner approach from the Spring collection of the previous year. The frays are more minimal, the distressing isn’t as heavy and the denim has a lighter note to it.
You can expect to see the R13 staples of plaid, leather, and of course denim. But this season the pieces were given new breath with new cuts like Shrunken styles and straighter fits that have the sense of the ‘Modern Vintage’ trend to them, yet still with the R13 aesthetic. You can check out the new collection below.
