I sized them up, snickered, then scoffed. Lace on jeans? Wedding lace?
Then I remembered, there was this one time at my non-existent, early 90’s bachelorette party, that I could have worn these… Gawk and giggle with me now as we stare in awe of these most unique and wondrous jeans, together, and one click at a time.
Was it ever appropriate to wear such disasterous jeans, even in the late 80’s/early 90’s? Yikes. Well, baggy boyfriend jeans made a comeback…so you just never know! Could these come back into style in the distant future?

Viridis Luxe had some really rad denim contributions for Los Angeles Fashion Week. Some were No-No’s and some were fabulous. The continuation and theme seemed to be simply cuffed jeans- regardless of the level of distressing. The collection has some very apparent peaks and valleys. Overall, I’m impressed with denim and I wonder how it compares price wise to Alexander Wang.
So we’ve known for sometime now that TopShop was heading to US—the exact time frame, however, eluded us as the huge signs in front of the slated 40k square foot Soho store announced to all who would pass that Fall 2008 was the date. Did you see the recent blog post of Kate Bosworth in her ‘80’s style light washed jeans from TopShop? If not check it out here. Here’s a sneak peak of what was shown in the US TopShop lookbook by Green, available this Spring…seems like Ms. Bosworth might have gotten in early on the goods…
We said it before – and our suspicions continue to be confirmed. Light denim is back in 2008! Sophia Bush does make it look amazing above, paired with a darker sweater.
