Actress Halle Berry was spotted leaving her LA home the other day in a pair of J Brand 912 Pencil Jeans in Ink wash. She complets her outfit with a pair of gladiator sandals and a Versace handbag. I’m not sure I love the gladiator sandals over the jeans - I like gladiators better with shorts or cropped jeans…what do you think?

Get Smart stars Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell departed LAX airport on June 20th. Anne is wearing a pair of J Brand Skinny jeans in the Ink wash. Steve, methinks, is wearing a pair of Paper Denim jeans, due to the rivet right under the zipper… I love Anne and I love her jeans but the rest of her outfit is kinda… blech. That white jacket with the popped collar especially should be burned.

More J Brand news! We announced the other day that J Brand is coming out with a new Blue Label line for curvier girls…now there’s something else new coming soon from J Brand!
As they say, ask and you shall receive. I’ve been dying for J Brand to do something like their Lovestory jean in a shorter inseam because when you are not of supermodel stature and have to hem your jeans, you wind up cutting off most of the “bell” shape if you take off more than a few inches.
Tada! Coming soon, the J Brand Petite Length jean! Shopbop is getting the exclusive on the Petite Heartbreaker in the Ink wash (shown above) on August 30th, and they will also have it in White in November. Bloomingdale’s is getting the exclusive on the Petite 12″ leg jean in Ink wash on July 30th. Can’t wait!

American Idol finalists Syesha Mercado, Carly Smithson & Brooke White were spotted shooting an advertising campaign for Beckley Boutique, a trendy new boutique in L.A. which carries designer denim, among other things. We spot People’s Liberation on Brooke, maybe J Brand on Syesha - perhaps our readers can I.D. Carly’s jeans! Has anyone checked out this hot new boutique yet if you live in L.A.?

J Brand Introduces Blue Label in Response to Consumers Who Want Premium Denim for a Curvier Body
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Los Angeles Fashion Awards “Denim Designer of the Year” winner and celebrity favorite, J Brand, has announced the debut of its latest line, J Brand Blue Label. Featuring a new fit for the curvier woman, the line was created to meet market demand for an alternative to the brand’s existing fit.
“Blue Label is perfect for women with curves,” said Susie Crippen, J Brand co-founder and Creative Director. “We have received a good deal of feedback from women who told us they loved our look and styles but wanted a fuller fit. We created Blue Label with a more generous cut around the leg, as well as a contoured waistband to hug the body’s natural curves.”
J Brand Blue Label has two predominant styles: The Scarlett with a low-rise fit and The Catherine with a mid-rise fit — both available in a cigarette leg and a boot leg. The cigarette leg is a 14-inch stovepipe, which has J Brand’s signature look with more room around the thigh. J Brand’s boot leg with a subtle flare and has been a consistently requested style.
And, finally, there is a wide-leg style for women who like a flowing jean. The Monroe is a mid-rise style that fits looser from the hips to the thighs. The back darts and contoured waistband keep this wide leg polished without looking overdone. The Monroe is also available in organic cotton. Jessica Simpson wore a pair of J Brand 910 Skinny jeans a few days ago while out with friends to have lunch in New York City. And in case you were wondering, her massive metallic bag is by Roberto Cavalli. I really like the jeans, the shirt, not so much.
