I don’t think that skinny jeans are going anywhere for the men. Versace showed denim in monochromatic shades for their most recent fashion show for the men. Designer Donnatella Versace gave us a very 80s Rockabilly vibe this show. Though she didn’t use the usual dark blue denim normally associated with the look. She gave us tie dyed, gray and even silver… and made it work. I think only one designer can get away of with pulling off a Rockabilly look with silver denim, and that is Donnatella. You can checkout the looks below.
It looks like double denim is still a huge fixture for the men for Spring 2011. The most recent show to show ode the most wonderful fabric was Prada. Miuccia Prada gave us many unique denim looks, from shirts to shorts and many double denim looks. She even upped double denim one more and did a triple denim look. You can check out all of the denim looks below.
Men’s Fashion Week has kicked off in Milan, Italy and leave it to Dolce & Gabbana to be the first to show denim on the runways. Designers Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana showed an array of shredded denim in white, pale blue and gray this season. You can check out all the denim looks below.
Opting for more cleaner lines and less exaggerated shoulders this season, Christophe Decarnin showed a Balmain collection that was inspired by music icon Prince, for this Fall. Seen on the runway were jeans in black, along with some in a purple hue. Also in the collection were sequined and leather pants in red, black, and gold all in the now classic motorcycle style. It wouldn’t be a true Prince inspired collection without flared styles, which is a nice contrast from the usual second-skin bottoms that Decarnin usually displays. The designer himself was also seen wearing a pair of his own jeans for his show. Check out some of the styles below.
