Designer Jeans Campaigns
Here is the brand new Spring 2013 campaign from True Religion. The campaign just went live today and features models Catrinel Menghia and Tom James at the lovely Paradise Cove in Malibu, California. Stylist Julia Von Boehm created the looks while photographer Camilla Akrans shot the photos. You can see the photos and video (set to the song Catamaran by Allah Las) below.
Jeffrey Lubell, Founder, CEO, Chairman of the Board and Creative Director said “This season, we took inspiration from one of my favorite places in the world – Malibu. We shot on location in Paradise Cove on the beach and boardwalk, and brought the California sensibility of the brand to life, while showcasing our roots in American-made denim. The Spring 2013 collection focuses on True Religion’s strong denim heritage and passion for authenticity and quality.” You can also see a behind the scenes look here.
Diesel recently launched their latest campgain video for their Fit Your Attidude Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. It features 5 models walking the streets of New York while each wearing a different cut and wash. The models in order of appearance include Kasia Smutniak who was wearing the Highkee high rise cut, Poppy Delevingne wearing the Bootzee bootcut style, Coco Rocha wearing their Getlegg classic skinny fit, Tali Lennox wearing the brands Faithlegg straight cut and Theodora Richards who was wearing the Grupee super skinny fit.
What are your thoughts on the campaign video? I thought it was really interesting and much like a really short film actually which introduced characters, however I noticed there has been a lot of negative comments towards it because Diesel only chose very thin models to be a part of the campaign. It seems to have upset a few people. Diesel said they chose the models based on their stories to fit the jeans, but would you prefer to see a variation of different sized models in their next campaign? I would, I think it would show how the jeans can fit every shape and size, as they do go up to a size 32. Leave your comments and let us know! You can buy Diesel online at SSENSE.
The flawless Jourdan Dunn is next to do the Rag & Bone DIY campaign. Being the top British model at the moment as well as walking both their New York and London shows this season, it was a match made in heaven.
The photos were shot in Central Park, her apartment, as well as around New York and London. You can see her hanging up some art in the Chester Jodhpurs, walking through the park in their Lita Jeans, smiling for the photo in their classic white t shirt, and showing off her bum in the Rock Skinny. Who has been your favorite to face their DIY Campaign so far?
Here is a look at the Fall 2012 campaign and look book from Lucky Brand Jeans. Both the campaign and look book feature models David Gandy and Magdalena Frackowiak. Magdalena is actually ranked #23 on Models.com, so she is one of the best models for the job, while everyone loves David Gandy! The images were shot on location at the Butterfly House on the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean in Carmel by the Sea. Photographer, Alasdair McLellan, gives a great Fall vibe to the shoot. You get a sense of crisp air and fresh cold mornings from looking at the photographs.
Lucky Brand Jeans is featuring lots of chunky knits for their Fall 2012 collection as well as some warm leather jackets. Of course jeans are featured throughout every image, showcasing their new denim styles for the coming season which is fast approaching. You can check out the images in the gallery below and also watch the behind the scenes video. What do you think of the new collection from Lucky Brand Jeans? My favorite look would have to be the Velvet Cherry pants and Cheetah Print Cardigan!
