Everyone needs a staple denim wardrobe for the hot months and the cold months, so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you 5 must have jeans for Fall right now. It differs a lot from the Summer denim that we wear and to make sure you stay classic as well as on trend, you can’t be without these 5 must have denim pieces in your closet! These are only for your bottom half, so I haven’t included jackets or shirts as that will be for another time. Enjoy these 5 jeans to wear for Fall though!
The ’70s were a dream for denim lovers. Bell bottoms, denim jackets you name it, denim was on fleek. Because the ’70s denim trends have been making their way back, we thought we’d give you our favorite picks from the newest of ’70s denim trends to make a comeback; the wide leg jean. Cropped or full length, this style is back in a minimal-norm-core type of way and it looks chic. I’m personally feelin’ the Palazzos right now with a simple t-shirt and flats, but the wide leg full-length pants are great for cocktails and dinner as well. What’s your favorite style of wide leg denim ?
There is a plethora of high waisted, skinny jeans out there. They all come in different colors, shapes, sizes and washes making it hard to choose one (or more) to invest in. This post originated when I, myself, wanted to invest a pair of high waisted skinny’s that I could live in during the cooler months and help me avoid retiring my crop tops (I own A LOT) for the winter.
I went to my local denim bar at American Rag and tried on pair after pair and needless to say, it took a while. Everyone has different body types and my trouble with jeans lies in the rise, which is usually too long for me. Most jeans sag, making it super uncomfortable to wear and results in me having to pull up my pants every few minutes.
Aside from the rise, it seems like every pair of jeans are made for a 7-foot tall supermodel because they are never NOT bunched up at my ankles (I’m not even short!). After trying on about 10 pairs, I chose *fell in love with* the Hudson Barbara High Waist Skinny (#1 on my list). They fit LIKE A GLOVE, with the perfect amount of spandex blended in with the cotton so they hug your body nicely. They’re also pretty high so they fit my long torso and all my crop tops meet the jeans at the perfect spot on my body.
The rise fits great and the length is just right. I was so happy with my purchase that I wanted to share my new found love for the Barbara’s but also to give you some other pairs to try on for size (literally). My 12 best high waisted skinny jeans are all based on the style, color, and wash and I think any of these would be a great investment piece depending on how well they fit your individual body. Check out my picks after the jump!
