Tis the season to be jolly and who doesn’t love a good Christmas sweater? Some of you may think that they are old fashioned and just tacky (hello Mark Darcy), but they have actually become somewhat of a fashion statement over the past couple of years. I personally own about 6 different Christmas sweaters and I can’t wait to wear them, even when November just hits, but one of my favourite ways to sport a Christmas sweater is of course with jeans. How could it not be?
Skinny jeans work best for me when I’m getting festive and I think they generally work best for everyone. Christmas sweaters can be a little oversized and bulky at the best of times, so pairing them with flares or bootcut jeans isn’t always the best option as it can overwhelm your figure. I’ve seen tighter ones paired with boyfriend jeans and that looks pretty cool if you like the casual approach. For me though, it’s always a skinny!
I love pairing heavily printed ones with black skinny jeans as they make a great base, but why not pair a navy fairsile one with some burgundy jeans or choose a burgundy Christmas sweater with dark blue jeans? There’s a lot of options for you and you can definitely get festive with an adorable Christmas sweater and your skinny jeans! Take a look below at some of the ways I have worn mine and two other London bloggers wore theirs. I’ve also included a round up of 16 hot Christmas sweaters at the moment!
Grey jeans are one of the most versatile monochrome colours that you can get. So many people opt for the classic indigo navy or lighter shades of blue, but for Fall, why not try something different and go for grey denim? Just like blue jeans, grey ranges from light to dark, with every shade in-between, coming in various fits from crops and skinnies to straight and boyfriend with either whiskering, distressing or a flat wash. There’s a pair of grey jeans for everyone and Fall is the perfect time to wear them!
I personally love grey jeans, but I just don’t own enough of them, in my opinion. One of my favourite ways to wear them though is with black and white, going for a full on monochrome look. Think black blazers and heels with a white shirt, paired with a mid to dark grey skinny, or why not try a lighter grey slouchy jean with an oversized cream sweater? There’s numerous ways in which you can wear grey and of course other colours like burgundy, purples and blues can sit perfectly next to the right shade. I’ve rounded up 24 of the hottest grey jeans, ranging from all colours and fits, so… happy shopping! Read More >
If you haven’t heard or seen it already, Pantone releases a projected color report for each season using a collection of its colors for one full palette. The collection consists of a few different shades of a few different colors and is also based off of collections seen on the runway.
I love color palettes and I respect people that create them for a living because it’s definitely not as easy as it looks, therefore I wanted to highlight this Fall’s color palette from Pantone.
Now, don’t take this palette too seriously, you are not BOUND to these colors until Spring 2015 hits, it’s just fun to see what colors are on trend and maybe it will prompt you to experiment with new shades this season. What colors are you wearing this Fall? Read More >
