Designer Jeans reviews
I previously posted this blog post in Feburary when I first got these jeans as they were released. A lot of people were asking for worn pictures for this Diesel Matic 8B3 review. I have finally gotten around to taking some modeled photos for you to see. They are below. Please excuse them being a bit tight in the butt area, since they are rigid they are a lot harder to break in for those of us with a tush, haha!
This weeks denim review is on a pair I recently bought; Diesel Matic 8B3. I am a huge fan of distressing and that is what caught my attention with these jeans. They are absolutely gorgeous! For all you Diesel experts out there, you will understand what I mean when I say the wash is like a mix between 71J and 61X, the blue of the denim is what reminds me of a darker 71J and the rusty patches on the jeans reminds me of 61X. The distressing has heavy reinforcements on the inside so they don’t rip anymore than intended as well. They used really pretty fabrics for this; sparkly silver and a pinstripe white and blue cotton. The hems come pre-distressed too, which I love, it saves you worrying about ruining them yourself…
Please click this blog post to read the rest of the review and view lots of photos modeled by me and laid flat on the floor to show lots of detail.
I got these AG Adriano Goldschmied The Stilt jeans in 18 Year Damage a couple of weeks ago and I fell in love with them. I have always loved how they looked on Heather Locklear, the wash looked so pretty, the distressing looked perfect and since they were skinnies that was a bonus. I can tell you I wasn’t disappointed when I got them! They definitely met my expectations.
One thing I love about AG Jeans is how authentic their washes are. They spend time and care on getting them just right, their whiskering looks just like it would on a very old and used pair of jeans, their distressing is done so well that it passes off as real and it looks really good, each of their jeans are numbered so they are all unique and individual, their fit (which I will talk about more in a moment) is always fantastic too! I really do love AG Jeans and I only have 2 pairs!
These Stilt jeans have a really good fit for me, the rise is just about right, it’s not too low and it’s not too high which I love, the back pocket placement is also extremely flattering, you can tell they have taken time to get it just right as the pockets sit on the butt in the right places. They have also made these jeans nice and slim all the way down but still being very fitted and flattering. The inseam is also not too long, I often find myself with a lot of stacking at the ankles or having to hem my jeans but with these I get neither which is great!
The thing I love most about these jeans is the 18 Years Damage wash. I’m obsessed with looking at how pretty the faded light/medium blue shade of the denim is and it’s just set off perfectly with the whiskering, it’s in the exact places it should be and it’s faded just right to make it look authentic. The distressing I also love to bits, it’s done with such care that it looks like it wont blow out or rip and it will stay looking worn in for the rest of the jeans life span. The wash for some reason looks darker in my photos than it actually is, I would say my pair are a little more darker than Heather’s and the outside modeled photos are a better representation of the wash rather than the laid down images inside.
I do still need to break these jeans in a bit as this is only my second time wearing them. They are still a bit stiff in the waist and butt area at the moment. The denim used for these jeans is of really good quality. You know when you touch a jean, you can just tell that it’s made of amazing denim? These are just like that, they have that slightly coarse woven denim feel to them, that little bit of graininess. I’m always impressed with how much detail and time goes in to making an AG Jean. I would say, even though they are a lot of money, if you are a denim enthusiast, it’s definitely worth the price tag investing in a pair.
If you are looking for a perfectly distressed and authentic looking light washed pair of skinny jeans then these are the pair you are looking for! They fit all the requirements of a worn in look Summer jean and the fit is perfect. Each pair is unique and that’s what makes them more valuable and special to each owner. I really love these jeans and I can’t wait to wear them more. I definitely recommend them, like I do with most of my jeans as I always love them, I don’t see the point in buying a pair I don’t like and wont wear haha. Buy these jeans at Revolve for $253.

After seeing this Domino denim jacket on Jessica Alba a while back, I fell in love with it! I got it last month and it’s my favourite denim jacket that I own! It’s different to the normal blue washes as it’s a washed out black. It’s definitely a moto inspired garment because of the zippers it has on the front of the jacket. I also really love the cropped sleeves, it definitely gives it a more casual feel rather than a smarter look.
I am definitely very impressed with the fit of this jacket too. Normally when I try a denim jacket it’s a little big in the shoulders or the waist area doesn’t fit correctly etc, there is always something but with this jacket it actually fits perfectly everywhere. The shoulders are cut very nicely, the back is really flattering as it nips in at the waist and the sleeves are cropped in the right place to make them look flattering. I also really love the asymmetrical zip up the front of the jacket, that’s a really great touch.
I know there have been a few jackets that look very similar to this one from other brands, I haven’t tried those other jackets but I am very happy with this Domino one. I love it!
I hadn’t really heard of the brand Domino Denim before seeing this jacket actually, I had to look into it and find out more about brand. They have some really nice styles. I also have a few pairs of their jeans and skinny pants and I think they are really pretty. I’m definitely excited to see what is in store for the brand in the coming seasons.
I really love this Domino denim jacket because of how well it’s cut, it’s very flattering and it’s very on trend with the moto inspiration. The washed out black is a nice touch as it’s different to the normal blue. I really like the casualness of this jacket and how you can also dress it up with a floral dress and heels. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a moto denim jacket like this.

I never expected to fall completely in love with these J Brand Houlihan Cargo Pants in Vintage Olive! I just got them last week and I have worn them lots already. I had never been a fan of cargo pants since I didn’t really class them as feminine but after seeing these pants on lots of celebs it really changed my mind. I haven’t seen them look bad on anyone yet and so many celebrities are a fan of them! They have really taken the fashion world by storm.
These Houlihan cargo pants are made of Japanese Twill so they are super soft! I had no idea they would be so stretchy and soft against the skin though, I assumed they would be quite rigid and more stiff since they were a cargo pant but I was completely wrong! They are the most comfiest pants I have ever tried and they are extremely stretchy, I love that about them. The fit is also perfect, it’s so feminine and pretty, they are really slim down the legs and even though they only have flaps for the back pockets they are suprisingly flattering on the butt.
I love the way they have long ankle zips just like a skinny jean, it’s nice they still keep that element as it’s unusual on a cargo pant. The leg pocket placement is also perfect, I love the positioning of them, they are just in the right place to keep your legs looking slim. they also have moto style stitching on the knees as you can see and I think that makes them look really good. The colour as well is so pretty, it’s like a dusty khaki green and it matches almost everything. These pants come in 5 other colours as well as this Vintage Olive shade. I really want to buy them in grey and black! I can see myself living in these Houlihan pants for a while. I find they beat my motto of not being feminine because they are super skinny and they look really really good with heels.
So I’m really loving J Brand’s take on the cargo pants and I honestly can’t wait to try more! The cargo pants seem to be a huge trend right now and I really like it! These are just too beautiful to pass up and if you don’t think they will be very flattering or comfy then you are very mistaken, they are gorgeous!
I absolutely, 100%, recommend these J Brand Houlihan Cargo Pants! They are the most softest pants I have ever tried and they are so comfy because of how stretchy they are. They are also incredibly flattering and feminine if you pair them with heels or wedges and a pretty top. You definitely wont be disappointed buying these! Buy these cargo pants at Boutique to You.
