Designer Jeans reviews
This weeks review is on another pair of cargo pants. James Jeans Twiggy cargos in Cappuccino. I think this is my last cargo pant review for a while, I don’t have anymore, haha!
This is the first time I have tried James Jeans and I never knew what to expect. Normally when I am not familiar with a brand, I’m either really pleasantly suprised or not that bothered. These James Jeans cargos are not my favourite pair but I do like them. They are very very soft and incredibly stretchy like legging material. They are a very simple pair with only 2 pockets on the side of the knees and no zips or anything like that.
I do really like the simplicity of these cargos, I think it’s nice as you can then wear a more printed top or bolder shoes without having too much going on. The colour is also a nice muddy and dark brown, a lot different to the normal greens. Since I have never tried James Jeans before, I can’t comment how they run but I took my regular size that I take in most brands.
Since these cargo pants are so simple there isn’t much I can say about them except they are very cute and easily wearable. The softness and stretchiness really makes them comfortable and they are great if you want a pair of cargo pants that are not to in your face or if you are looking to jump on the trend but trying to keep it as casual as possible. Buy these cargo pants at James Jeans for $172.

I absolutely love these Rich & Skinny skinny cargo leggings in Aloe! They are my new favourite cargo pants of the season! I have worn them out 3 times already and each time I got a compliment on them. I’m really excited to be reviewing them for you all!
I wanted to start off with the fit of these cargo leggings. It’s super skinny all over, the rise is a perfect height, the inseam is not too long, it’s just long enough to give me that slight bunching at the ankles. The back pockets are also really flattering, I didn’t think they would be as they are square and normally I’m really picky about the shape of them but these work perfectly! They do run a bit bigger than the denim version of these but a bit smaller than regular Rich & Skinny jeans, I took a size up from my normal Rich & Skinny size.
The material that these cargo pants are made from is gorgeous too! It’s a mixture of lyocell, cotton and spandex. It’s the perfect blend as it makes them SO soft and incredibly stretchy. They are also really light weight as well so they don’t make you sweaty and you can stay comfortable in them. This material is also really good as it doesn’t stretch out much and get saggy. Although the fabric is incredibly stretchy if you pull it, it keeps it’s shape and remains a good fit. I love that!
The wash is also really pretty! It’s a lot lighter and refreshing, unlike most of the cargo pants this season which are darker in colour like browns, dark greens and blacks, these are the perfect shade of light green. I do still love the darker shades, it’s just nice to have a change. They really give them that light and airy feeling which is perfect for the warmer weather and it brightens up the outfit as it’s not a dull green. I really do love the colour of them!
Lastly, I wanted to focus on the aesthetics of the cargos. I adore the 3 button fly which is visible! It’s a really unique touch to the pants and I think it adds a lot of detail to them. Also, my other favourite thing about these is that the pockets are on the front of the legs instead of being on the sides. I actually find this to be really catchy on the eye, it adds a lot of character to the pants without being too much and it’s not unflattering at all, it’s really cute having them so visible! I love it!
Overall I love these cargo pants so much! I’m going to be wearing them until they wear out! If you want a lighter wash, more feminine cargo pant for Summer then I would definitely recommend these! They feel a lot more girly and cute than the darker tones I am used to. The fit is perfect as I mentioned and I genuinely love everything about them! You can buy them at Rich & Skinny for $172! They are definitely worth the money! Please check out all of the images in the gallery below!

Since the skinny cargo pant trend is in full swing, I am going to be reviewing a few of them within the coming weeks. I have already reviewed the J Brand Houlihan cargos and this next review is for the Frankie B. Maury skinny cargo pants in Army Worn.
These cargo pants are so comfy!! They are made from really soft cotton, tencel and lycra. They have a really smooth and stretchy feel to them, all while being really easy to move in and perfect for wearing if you want comfort. They have the classic Frankie B. low rise and the colour is a perfect shade of army green. The thing I love most about these cargo pants is the aesthetics of them, the pockets on the knees are really cute and the back pockets have buttons and zippers on them too. These pants don’t have any ankle zips but not all cargo pants need them, there is so much detail on these cargos that ankle zips are not needed.
They run pretty true to size for Frankie B. as I stayed with my normal size. I really love these cargo pants so much, they do stretch out quite a bit though so I may have wished I had sized down one size. I have worn them twice already and they have got a bit loose in the legs area. These are definitely in my top 3 skinny cargos right now! I would definitely recommend them if you are looking to jump on the skinny cargo pants bandwagon and you are wanting a pair with a lot of details on them, these pants have a lot of stitching detail on the legs as well as all of the pockets and zips. They are definitely a cute pair! You can see all of the photos in the gallery below. Buy these pants at Frankie B. for $174.

As you know I am a huge fan of Paige’s Premium Denim jeggings! They are just so comfy! This is my 3rd pair, but this time I went for the Stratus wash as it’s beautiful. The grey is the perfect shade, it’s not too dark and it’s not too light. It’s quite similar to the Masai Grey colour we have seen on the celebs but not quite as dark.
I want to start this review by saying the reason why I love Paige’s jeggings. She makes one of the most flattering denim leggings there is on the market right now, the Verdugo is skinny all the way to the ankle, the inseam is just long enough for me to have a small bit of bunching around the ankle, the rise is the perfect height, the back pockets, like Paige is known for, are in the perfect place and give the perfect fit. These are also a cotton and elastane mix so they are very soft and so comfortable! I would definitely recommend Paige as a brand to go to if you are looking to try the denim leggings trend, you wont be disappointed! I’ve tried so many from lots of brands and Paige’s are in my top 2!
It was hard picking which ones are my favourite between these, my June Lake pair and my Dusk pair but I think June Lake still wins slightly, based on the prettiness of the wash. I love that Paige has a huge collection of jeggings as well, she has a few cuts to choose from and so many washes! She has just released a lot more too, finally the Royal wash is out! That one I have been lusting after since I saw them a while back when I met her in London and previewed the collection. Paige has even brought out purple coloured ones and green as well!
For those of you interested in the rest of my outfit, I have a Topshop sleeveless denim jacket on and a pair of Rock & Republic spiked heels in fuchsia. I love the double denim look and since these jeggings are grey it’s really easy to work the double denim trend as the shades are completely different. Please click on the gallery images to view them full size. You can buy these leggings on the Paige website for only $158.
