Denim Review: Paige Premium Verdugo Jeggings In Stratus
As you know I am a huge fan of Paige’s Premium Denim jeggings! They are just so comfy! This is my 3rd pair, but this time I went for the Stratus wash as it’s beautiful. The grey is the perfect shade, it’s not too dark and it’s not too light. It’s quite similar to the Masai Grey colour we have seen on the celebs but not quite as dark.
I want to start this review by saying the reason why I love Paige’s jeggings. She makes one of the most flattering denim leggings there is on the market right now, the Verdugo is skinny all the way to the ankle, the inseam is just long enough for me to have a small bit of bunching around the ankle, the rise is the perfect height, the back pockets, like Paige is known for, are in the perfect place and give the perfect fit. These are also a cotton and elastane mix so they are very soft and so comfortable! I would definitely recommend Paige as a brand to go to if you are looking to try the denim leggings trend, you wont be disappointed! I’ve tried so many from lots of brands and Paige’s are in my top 2!
It was hard picking which ones are my favourite between these, my June Lake pair and my Dusk pair but I think June Lake still wins slightly, based on the prettiness of the wash. I love that Paige has a huge collection of jeggings as well, she has a few cuts to choose from and so many washes! She has just released a lot more too, finally the Royal wash is out! That one I have been lusting after since I saw them a while back when I met her in London and previewed the collection. Paige has even brought out purple coloured ones and green as well!
For those of you interested in the rest of my outfit, I have a Topshop sleeveless denim jacket on and a pair of Rock & Republic spiked heels in fuchsia. I love the double denim look and since these jeggings are grey it’s really easy to work the double denim trend as the shades are completely different. Please click on the gallery images to view them full size. You can buy these leggings on the Paige website for only $158.

Denim Review: Black Orchid Black Devil Zipper Jeans In Thunder
This weeks review is on the Black Orchid Black Devil Zipper skinny jeans in Thunder. I have had these quite a long time and a few of you have been asking for a review on them.
When I first saw these jeans on celebs like Kristin Cavallari and I saw the wash in their regular jeggings as well, I fell in love. The wash is definitely a very pretty blue, it’s gorgeous! The wash is my favourite part of these jeans actually. These are a little loose on me as I didn’t originally know that Black Orchid jeans tend to run a little big. The fabric content of these is a bit of a problem for me because I have this intolerance to polyester in jeans as it’s really itchy, it makes me feel funny and it’s not very comfortable. Since these have polyester in I don’t find them all that comfy to wear but that is only my personal preference. Many others don’t have any irritation to polyester at all, I just have very sensitive skin, so they will probably be fine for you readers.
My other concern with these jeans is the back pockets. I am really all about having the most flattering back pockets on my jeans, I like them to be in the perfect position and the perfect shape. With Black Orchid jeans I find they don’t fit my butt that well, my butt tends to stick out a bit and the pockets don’t seem to flatter it very much. The pockets look amazing on Kristin Cavallari, Ellen Pompeo and others though, they can really rock the narrower pockets that they have. Just for me I find them to not work as well but I am very fussy when it comes to my jeans. I like my pockets to be a little more wider.
Other than those 2 points, I really like the jeans. I definitely don’t want to put them down as they are a design that I really love. The zipper detail on the back pockets is incredibly cute and adds a nice edge to the jeans, the ankle zips really make them different to a lot of jeans because it adds a uniqueness to them. I also really like the button and the tags they come with. Also, like I said above, the wash is very beautiful, it’s such a deep rich blue and it’s very pretty! Maybe if I had them one size smaller and they had no poly in I would love them so much! But again, like I mentioned, I am very fussy when it comes to my jeans and that’s just my personal preference in fabric, haha. Many others adore them! Buy these jeans at Singer22 for only $136 and buy these jeans at Boutique To You for $135.

Denim Review: Raven Denim Shorts in Spirit
Sorry I didn’t get chance to do a denim review last week! I try to do one every week for you readers but sometimes it’s not possible, I also haven’t included laid down images of the shorts either, just modeled photos. This weeks review is on the Raven Denim cut off boyfriend shorts in Spirit wash. Halle Berry has also been spotted in these shorts in a different wash!
I got these shorts a little while ago (not knowing what to expect as I have never tried Raven Denim before) and I was very suprised! The fit is really good! I wasn’t expecting them to fit as nice as they do as I am always apprehensive about trying new brands as I tend to stick to what works for me and what I like. The pocket placement on these is in the perfect place! It’s always so important to get the pockets in the correct place on the butt as it makes such a different to how jeans fit you. I also love that you can see the pocket lining under the hem of the shorts, I always think that’s cute!
I don’t like jeans or shorts that are really branded so I am pleased with the Raven Denim logo just being a little R on the top right of the right back pocket. It’s unique and you can tell they are Raven Denim when you see this logo but it’s not invasive. Two things I would like to alter if possible, to fit my body and likes more, is the leg opening and the shade of the wash. The leg opening I find a little too big and a little too heavy, I would feel better in these shorts if the denim was a little thinner around the hem as it can get a little puffy. The wash also is a little too light for my taste, it’s a pretty wash but I would love it even more if it was a couple of shades darker or some distressing was put on this wash at the front instead, that would make them perfect!
Overall Opinion
I actually really like these shorts and I am very impressed with Raven Denim. Since I hadn’t tried them before I am really pleased with how well they fit! They are very flattering and so cute! I hope we see a lot more celebs in these shorts and jeans from the brand too! Buy these shorts at National Jean Company for $153.

Denim Review: Diesel Nevy 8N5
This weeks review is on my new Diesel Nevy 8N5 skinny jeans. I was looking around trying to find these jeans for ages and find out what they were called. I found them first on Asos.com but they only had a 32 leg online and no where else was stocking them. I finally found a pair in a 30 leg at a Diesel concession in Selfridges and I bought them right away. I have completely fallen in love with these jeans and I can’t get enough of them! I found out they are only available in the UK as the US didn’t buy them, so the only place I can recommend you to buy them is Asos.com as they do international shipping.
I used to be a huge fan of Matic and I own it in a million different washes (slight exaggeration, haha) but I’m not too fond of the new Matic cut which is smaller in the waist and baggier in the calves, I preferred the older really slim fitting Matic so now I have found Nevy I am very happy! They are super slim all the way down, they have a lower rise just like Matic and even though the pockets are a different shape they are still extremely flattering. I find Nevy to be like a cross between Matic and Lowky when it comes to fit; slim fitting like Matic but they have Lowky style pockets. I like it that the button goes to one side as well. This pair I do find runs smaller, I took a size up compared to my normal Diesel size but I am finding a lot of the newer Diesel’s to be running smaller than they used to be. If you have Matic 8B3 then these Nevy 8N5 run the same as that but they are not rigid, they are 1% stretch so they are a little more forgiving.
The wash on these is what made me fall in love with these jeans actually, it’s absolutely amazing. It’s such a pretty blue but underneath that it has a gorgeous violet undertone. The purple shows through the lighter areas of the jeans really well, like the rips and distressing, those come out really purple! Especially in the sunlight, I love it! The whole inside of these jeans including the tag and pocket lining is also purple, it’s so cute! They have little purple pointy studs and rivets, a purple button, a purple Diesel tab on the back patch and petty honeycombs at the back of the knees. I can’t even explain how beautiful this wash is in person, there are so many little details to it that I love and it’s also a wash that has so much depth and character to it!
There isn’t one thing that I don’t like about these jeans, I love every inch of them. I know Diesel are not the comfiest of jeans as I am very used to Jeggings now but the fit and wash overrides all of that! I find these jeans really fun and really slim fitting which is perfect and I can’t wait to wear them more! I’ve already worn them twice since I got them and they have quickly become a favourite of mine along with 81M and 61X. Now I have 3 favourite Diesel washes along with a tonne of others that I really like! I still wish they would make a Matic or Nevy 61X though, I would be all over that jean in an instant! Please Diesel, grant my wish!
Overall Opinion
These Diesel Nevy 8N5 jeans are perfect! The wash is stunning and even prettier in sunlight and the fit is so slim and so flattering, especially down the legs and the butt. The pocket placement I find really nice as well, it’s always the first thing I look for in a jean, if it doesn’t fit right on the butt then I wont buy them. The pockets make the biggest difference and this Nevy cut really works for me! I find the Liv cut to not be very flattering on myself but on others it’s beautiful so I am glad this Nevy works well. I can safely say that the £160 (including shipping) I spent on these is definitely money well spent! Buy these jeans at Asos.com for £150.
