Art + Fashion = 7 For All Mankind
On Saturday 10/10, 7 For All Mankind will be hosting an event at our Soho store. The event, Art + Fashion = 7 For All Mankind, will feature an exhibition of exclusive artwork curated by John Connelly, in association with NADA (the New Art Dealer’s Alliance). There will be a DJ, cocktails, food, and a 20% discount on merchandise purchased that evening. Customers will also receive a free basic hem on any pair of jeans purchased. WHAT: 7 For All Mankind invites customers into the store to shop the new Fall/ Holiday 2009 collection. Guests can enjoy cocktails, small bites and music by a local DJ. While shoppers enjoy the music and the Fall/ Holiday Collection they can also catch a sneak peek of exclusive artwork created by NADA (The New Art Dealers Alliance) artists. Meet Cookie Johnson
Los Angeles celebrity shopping hot spot introduces Cookie Johnson. She is to make a special appearance and introduce her new premium denim line.
Cookie Johnson, wife of NBA legend and businessman Earvin “Magic” Johnson, has teamed up with Michael Glasser (founder of Seven, Citizens, and current owner of Rich & Skinny) to create Cj by Cookie Johnson, the first premium denim line cut for women with curves.
Hollywood fashion guru Jaye Hersh has earned a reputation for continuously scouting fashion’s latest must-haves and bringing them to the masses at her popular LA boutique INTUITION and its corresponding e-commerce site ShopIntuition.com.
Cookie Johnson and Jaye Hersh will host a celebrity mixer and customer “meet and greet”. A dee-jay and refreshments will be featured and Cookie will help customers find their perfect “Cj” fit.
The event is on Saturday, October 3rd at 11-2PM.

55DSL’s Studio55 Art Opening
55DSL would like to invite DenimBlog readers to Studio55’s latest opening, “The Learning” with works by Andrew Clark.
Studio 55 is a working creative space in the heart of London’s media hub, Soho. After working with, collaborating and supporting artists and musicians for the past 15 years and gaining much respect within the media world, Italian streetwear brand 55DSL wanted to create a space that complimented the store and that could be used by creative types looking for somewhere to either work, play or exhibit.
Already with two very successful shows under its belt, with renowned artists Mitchy Bwoy and Rabodiga and also up and coming musician Erik Hassle’s debut single launch, Studio55 is now gathering up momentum for the next show, this time with emerging illustrator Andrew Clark.
Inspired by the nostalgia of 55DSL’s fifteenth birthday, ‘The Learning’ gives a nod to the past in its resurrecting of the old. The work is new, but the delivery is traditional. Over-head projectors, slides and frames give the viewer a chance to interact and be educated in Andrew’s first solo exhibition that won him so many admirers in 2009, with this latest showcase of work.
‘The Learning’ Opening is on October 1st from 6pm – 00pm.
