Denim Brands
Pearly King Denim
I was recently introduced to a British menswear brand called Pearly King, which has years of experience and heritage in denim. Everything is done by hand by in house heavy tailors, while their selvedge denim is used extensively with great details such as hand sewn bar tacks, satin waist bands and kick tape hems.
After looking at these photos I can really tell how much concentration and effort goes into making their denim. The washes look really intense and exactly like jeans that have been broken in after years. Guys, what do you think of Pearly King’s denim? You can find out more about the brand at their website here.
Wrangler Launches Denim Spa Jeans
Denim makers are constantly trying to create the next new thing when it comes to denim. Wrangler has launched an innovative new moisturizing jean called “The Denim Spa.” The idea behind these is to create a jean that takes care of your legs while you wear them.
The Denim Spa jeans are infused with micro encapsulated natural moisturizing and slimming ingredients that protect skin from the dehydrating effects of wearing denim. They come in three figure flattering cuts: The Aloe Vera, which has anti-inflammatory properties and is ideal for sensitive skin, with a light blue wash; The Olive Extract, which is a super hydrater and is a medium blue wash and The Smooth Legs, which has anti-cellulite agents and comes in darker indigo shade.
The moisturizing effects are meant to last up to 15 days but a re loadable spray can be purchased to renew the moisturizing properties and can last up to 95 wears. The Denim Spa jeans will be available for purchase on Asos.com starting January 28th and will retail for $135.00.

Liberty of London for Levi’s
British label Liberty of London has teamed up with Levi’s to create a collection perfect for spring. Jennifer Carlin, Levi’s senior designer said, “We’re excited to work with Liberty on such a unique collaboration that combines denim with [the brand's] fabrics. It’s been a great opportunity to share our American heritage and perspective with this quintessential British brand.”
The collection will feature Liberty’s signature floral prints, in a pattern created exclusive to Levi’s, as well as laser cut floral prints. The capsule collection will have 15 pieces, including styles in jeans, shorts, dresses and jackets, with prices starting at $90 for shorts and ranging to $250 for jackets, and is expected to hit stores in May.
