A lot of celebrities have been seen out wearing denim dresses, which I think is a perfect look for summer. Accessorize them however you want and you can make a casual or dressier outfit. I chose the three looks below because I think they represent 3 different ways to wear this trend.
I love Jessica Alba’s look of her denim Isabel Marant dress paired with chunkier boots. The boots make the dress a little less girly and sweet. You could just as easily pair this with a pair of flip flops for the pool or wedges for a fun night out.
This dress from Surface to Air has a great cut and could easily be accessorized with a great necklace and shoes! It retails for $276 here.
LeAnn Rimes chose to take a bit of a sexier route by wearing this corset style mini dress from Lover. This dress is currently on sale for $283.50 at Net-a-porter but if that is still out of your budget, check out some of the alternatives below.
This dark denim dress from Voom retails for $104 and can be purchased here.
This sweet little dress just needs perfect heels to take it from sweet to sexy. It retails for $63 from Modcloth.
While I was not too fond of Liv Tyler’s Stella McCartney jumper style denim dress, I think that a jumper style dress has great potential and could be a basic that works from spring with a cardigan over it to winter layered with a tee and boots.
This adorable dress from Asos shows enough leg not to be matronly but still lends the possibility to be conservative by layering it with a tee or tank (like Liv). It retails for $60 here.
Ellen Pompeo drops off her dry cleaning while wearing a pair of OTR Essential Skinny jeans in Rainy Day. Kourtney Kardashian was recently seen out wearing these same jeans. I love the back pockets of these jeans, I really want to try them. I do think Kourtney pulls them off a lot better though, I don’t like Ellen’s top!
Nothing beats premium denim, but there are many great brands out there that are under $100. Here are my top three brands that I have tried out and are still my go to when I can’t find anything. These are just my favorites, but feel free to tell us some of yours that are under $100. Check out my favorites below.
1. You can never go wrong with these. I have to say that the Levi’s 511s has to be my favorite fit by them. They are also what I have to say still one of the best brands out there. The measurements on these are prefect. The rise is not to high, contrary to what it is said to be and they are also cut slim but still has room for movement. If you haven’t tried these (which I doubt), then you should really give these a try. They will last forever. Click here to purchase these jeans for $54.
2. This is also another great brand. I think Cheap Mondays are great because of the stretch in their jeans. It just makes it so much easier to move in right when you get them. They are also cut very slim. The only dislike I have on these jeans would have to be the rise. It is just way too high for me, which makes it very uncomfortable if you wear your jeans low. Other than that, these are really great. Click here to purchase these jeans for $65.
3. These BDG Jeans would have to be the softest of the three. They are thin, but they will last a couple of years, if taken care of. They are cut slimmer than it is portrayed in the photo above. The rise on these is also slightly high, but it can be accommodated. They also have some really great washes to choose from. Click here to purchase these jeans for $49.
Leave it to Lindsay Lohan to take fashion risks. Lindsay was seen doing some shopping while wearing Helmut Lang’s denim knit combo shirt. This shirt is denim in the front and stretchy knit in the back. I’m not crazy about this shirt but I do LOVE her studded YSL! Buy this shirt at Shopbop for $220.
