Longtime collaborators, Nike and Liberty of London, have added something new to the mix, denim. For their Summer 2014 collection, Nike had expressed interest in incorporating denim into the line, and Liberty chose vintage inspired designs from their archives, with prints dating from the 1930s to the 1970s, and reprinted them on denim. The fabrics were then used on Dunk Sky Hi, Blazer, Internationalist, and Air Max styles. The shoes are finished with dark blue and burlap style trim and rope laces. The collection launched online and in-stores April 7th and prices start at 105.00.

Paige Denim has collaborated with Luxury Dog & Cat Outfitters, Mungo & Maud, to create a seriously stylish collection for… dogs. The London based brand has teamed up with the US denim label to produce Paige for Mungo & Maud. The collection of beds and bones are available in three signature Paige Denim prints that you usually find on the lining of Paige jeans: Sundial, Rose and Stripe. These can be found at Mungo & Maud online and at their retail stores in Belgravia, Notting Hill and Harrods. The collection will also be available at Paige Denim stores in the US.
Paige Adams Geller (co-founder and Creative Director of Paige Denim) said: “I fell in love with Mungo & Maud a few years back when visiting the UK. I adore their luxury accessories due to their quality, attention to detail and charm. So when Nicola reached out to me about the collaboration, I couldn’t resist! With four dogs of my own, one named London and a second named Chelsea… I knew it was meant to be. I know what my girls will be getting for Christmas this year!”
While co-founder and Creative Director of Mungo & Maud, Nicola Sacher added: “I have been an admirer of Paige since I squeezed into my Skinnies. Amongst the many denim brands, this one always stood out for me: considered designs; great fabrics and an understated edge. The opportunity to collaborate on this original concept is so exciting for Mungo & Maud…and I love the idea of dogs sleeping in their ‘jeans’.”
Paige for Mungo & Maud launches TODAY (6 November 2013) so you can go out and buy your doggies a treat! The denim bed baskets retail at £240 while the denim bones each cost £23. What do you think of this collaboration?
G-Star Raw has collaborated again! Especially for Selfridges, the brand created a Limited Edition Type C jean signed by Sergio
Pizzorno, of Kasabian. From October 10th, only 100 pieces from the 150 made, will be exclusively available from selfridges.com.
The Type C is the latest and most unrestrained 3D denim from G-Star. First appearing as a prototype at New York Fashion Week, it is constructed with an anatomical fit, tapered legs and oversized rear pockets. Alongside Mariinsky ballerina Keenan Kampa, Sergio Pizzorno wears the Type C in the G-Star RAW Autumn/Winter 2013 campaign by Rankin.
Inspired by their campaign collaboration, G-Star and Sergio Pizzorno joined forces to release a limited edition version of the Type C. A total of 150 of these jeans have been made, and each one is crafted from 14oz dark aged denim with a special off-white pocket patch and logo. The patch of each pant is stamped with its own number, and is personally signed by Sergio Pizzorno as a mark of
authenticity. The other 50 limited edition jeans will be available later in the month at the G-Star Raw website.
I am lucky enough to own one of these jeans, I own number 4 in the collection, and they are gorgeous! As well as being obsessed and addicted to denim, I’m also a bit of a denim collector, so I was incredibly excited when I received these! They look exactly like the photos in this post in terms of wash and 3D elements. If you love G-Star Raw denim, I can definitely tell you would love these guys! These are only for the men, they don’t come in women’s cuts at all, but ladies you could probably wear them as a boyfriend jean if you found the right size! What do you think of them? You can see more photos of the jeans by clicking this post.
