nuvaring
Nuvaring was the last BC I was on, before my husband went under the knife. I was on the pill and depo for a while but my periods were soooo irregular, we thought we would try this out. ( I say 'we' only bcause I was my dr's first patient to try it). When I was on it, I loved it. I was told some people will not have any period, some people will spot, some people will have breakout bleeding, some will have very regular periods... since I havent had a regular period for about 5 years, I was super happy when I would go 3 months with no bleeding, a month of light to moderate, nothing for a couple of months.. etc.
I have been off it for about 5 months now and went the frist 2 without getting a period at all... and then the horror.
I was bleeding heavy, every day, for a month! I would have a week off, and then it would start up again.
I just had an ultrasound to see if there was cause for concern and was told that I had cycts on my ovaries, which can be pretty common in women my age, but probably grew to 3 times their size because of the extra hormones and the fact that I hadnt had a period for so long.
I am happy to say that the last month was completely normal, normal period, no spotting, am just waiting for my next one to come. Dr is going to keep an eye on me, I have my physical next month as well.
So there is my shared experience on it and now off it.

When I was first given it, I was NEVER told about the serious consequences . . . well, I was diagnosed with full-blown osteoporosis at age 28 
Anyone else experience headaches around the time of their period?
