I agree. Microderm and chemical peels work towards getting rid of acne scars.

Anything Glycolic Acid works well too. There are different percentages for all skin types...start out small like @ maybe 4% and then work your way up as your skin gets used to it. It encourages cell turnover which fades scars over time, you need to use it regularly for best results, as goes any skin care product. If you have any questions I'd be more than happy to give you some more info. It really does work, I had the same problem.

Thanks for the input!

I been using 10% glucolic acid for about a year now, only little improvement. Should I move up to about 20%?

Yep, if you've been using it for that long, you should be ok! Use less often too, as you go up in percentage you dont have to use it as often. For some products I know thats true. I use 50% once every 4 weeks and it's pretty intense, but does it ever work!!...I used to have so many scars in the cheek and neck area, they almost looked like clusters of tiny red blotches, this stuff totally faded it away. I dont recommend it in such a high % for all though especially if you have sensitive skin...

Nope! Any drug mart or department beauty counter!
Try Neostrata (Notice you're from TO, go to Shoppers Drug Mart!) or Avene if you have sensitive skin works well too. I think the highest Neostrata goes is 10%, but start at 4% if you're new to it. Also do a spot check prior to rubbing it all over your face to avoid a reaction, some people can be allergic and your face gets super red like a sunburn, and should tingle/burn slightly which means it's working.

Guys, not only is it good for acne scarring but aging as well. It encourages natural exfoliation of the skin, smooths roughness and uneveness and because of the cellular renewal stimulation slows down aging too hence as you age that slows down...

You should ask your dermatologist first or ask a cosmetician if possible, explain your skin type and ask if they think glycolic acid is appropriate for you. If you have any questions let me know, I sold tons of lines w Glycolic...

If you are willing to shell out the $$$, a laser resurfacing treatment called Fraxel is amazing. I had some acne scars in the way of very uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, one or two pitted marks, and also some sunspots and sun damage on my forehead. I had just one of these treatments and I have near flawless skin now...no need for makeup, my oily skin is normal due to shrunk pores, etc.

It costs around $1,000 but it is WORTH every penny. Especially when you consider I now only need to use 2 inexpensive products: Dove soap and Nuetrogena moisturizer to make my skin look fabulous. When I think of all the $$ I have dropped trying new products, this was MORE than worth it. Each treatment resurfaces approximately 20% of your face, so if you had really terrible terrible scars you would need 4-5 treatments to achieve 'flawless' skin, but it would definitely get the job done.

I may get another at the end of this summer, as it drastically reduces sun damage/fine lines. But one treatment was all I needed to erase all my leftover acne scars and make my skin look fantastic. I also use a Retin-A cream nightly (Tazorac) that my derm presribed...this is more for anti-aging purposes.

Mederma is a fantastic product, I agree! It's rather expensive, but many Docs highly recommend that stuff for post surgical scars too, so you know it's good!! It works best on newer scars..older ones are tougher to get rid of...
