One, spoiler warning,

two

OH MY GOD! Adsion and Alex?? WTF? It was so random, yet oddly cute (I am still a firm supporter of Alex&Izzie though). What is going on w/George and Callie? That scene was so cute (but I still havn't decided if I like them together.) I hope George's dad pulls through! Izzie should totally pay for the surgery... Aw... This was such a good episode!

If you saw the scenes from the next episode, I think Dr. Bailey is telling Izzie not to get involved w/ the patient (i.e. pay for the surgery)...dra-ma

Love the show, always have.....
I wish Burke and Christine would get over their tiff,,....getting tired of that whole issue.
It was funny how Izzie cried the whole time she was trying to deposit the check.....

Adison & Alex - They've been angling this for awhile! I like sensitive Alex... Excuse my language, but he is so damn fucking hot and sexy, I just want to climb all over him. Ahahahaha

George & Callie - Ugh, don't care about them at all. So boring to see them together. Stop it already!

Meredith & McDreamy - Ugh, don't care about them either!

Burke & Christina - They've got a very interesting dynamic and it's the only couple I can tolerate.

Izzie & Alex - I'm pulling for them.

I managed to sort of catch Grey's Anatomy yesterday; it was on in the background.

But anyways, would someone please clue me in on the whole story behind the check and why in the world is Izzie shedding tears when she deposited the check [my attention was elsewhere when the scene was shown]. I didn't quite catch any episodes before this...I was with Grey's Anatomy during the first season, sort of, then fell off the wagon.

If George's father dies I won't be sad to see that actor go. He is HORRIBLE!!!

Izzie fell in love with a dying patient and they became engaged right before he died. Bad heart and all. Anyways, turns out he was made out of money and left Izzie with 8.7 million dollars in his will. She refused to deposit the check for the longest time and her psychiatrist said that as long as she didn't (because it's unreasonable), that she would not be able to perform any surgeries. I don't know why she was crying though..

Oh crap! I didn't actually answer your question.

I love Addison & Alex - that dynamic was always there. He needs someone like her.

Burke & Christina - my favorite couple.

Meredith & McDreamy - I feel for him b/c my husband snores and it drives me nuts.

George's Dad - I think he's going to die next week, based on the previews.

strawberry shortcake - Izzie got the check from the estate of Denny, her dead fiance. She met him when he was a patient in the hospital, he had had surgery on his heart, and she actually ended up cutting his LVAT (is that right) wire to his heart so he could get a heart transplant. He got it, then died on the hospital's "prom night." It turns out that Denny was rich as shit, and pretty much left his estate to her. She got the check, it's been on her refrigerator door since the beginning of the season b/c she wouldn't deposit it into the bank b/c she wasn't ready to let Denny go. She couldn't get in on the surgery to the girl w/the horrible back until the hospital shrink thought she was ready, and she wasn't ready b/c she wouldn't deposit the check...

I think .. To her, depositing the check means Denny really is dead.

My daughters and I taped that episode where Denny died.....we watched it twice and bawled both times....
It was so sad.....

My hubby snores also, and talks, thrashes and kicks....I end up on the couch quite often....
I suggested he go to a sleep clinic because his sleep cycle is so disturbed....he suggested that I needed to go see my Dr. to see if I could get some meds because I can't sleep through it all......*sigh*

i love greys!! addison is so pretty!

i am still not a fan of Alex...he is hot and I wanted to give him a second chance with Izzie, but not after he had that fling with the redhead.
I'm also not sure if I like Callie - she can get annoying sometimes.
It also appears from the previews that George's dad is going to die but sometimes they can be misleading...

Saw the Adison/Alex thing coming from a mile away - but I love it. They would be one hot couple.
I love Cristina and Burke, but this whole silence thing is getting boring. One of the them needs to "give up power" next episode.
IMO, Izzie = Ick.

*sigh* I'm just happy there are new episodes again.

I love this show more than any other show at the moment. We are still in season 2 over here in German TV so I will stop reading this thread right now because I don't want to know what's going on next season.

I am so surprised no one mentioned the McSteamy tidbit, as to why he "had a right to be angry" and also the bit in the previews when he said to Addison, "I thought you didnt wan't a child." And she replied, "I do, but I don't want a child with you."

My read on this is that she became pregnant with Mark Sloan's child but had an abortion and that was exactly a year ago and Mark is still hung up over the fact that she did that.

Also the Alex + Addison thing was pretty hot, but it's not gonna last. She is still on the rebound and he'd do any attractive female that came his way.

LiveScience.com - Snoring Haunts Millions of Americans

Snoring affects a surprisingly large number of people. The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) estimates that nearly one in three Americans snores occasionally, and 37 million are habitual snorers.

"Primary snoring is a pretty common entity," said Dr. Bradley Rowens, director of the Michigan Institute for Sleep at St. John Providence Park Hospital, in Novi, Mich. "Probably 40 percent of males between 30 and 60 years old, and probably 30 percent of women in that age group snore."

Sometimes, snoring is a sign of a more serious problem -- obstructive sleep apnea. In sleep apnea, people actually stop breathing for several seconds. This disorder can contribute to high blood pressure and even cause stroke, according to the National Institutes of Health.

However, it can be hard for the average person to distinguish between heavy snoring and apnea, according to Susan Zafarlotfi, clinical director of the Institute for Sleep-Wake Disorders and The Breath and Lung Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center, in New Jersey. For that reason, anyone who habitually snores should see their doctor or a sleep specialist to determine if the problem is sleep apnea, rather than ordinary snoring, she said.

For most people, snoring doesn't pose a great health risk, although the NSF said snoring can disrupt your sleep to the point where you may experience headaches, fatigue and concentration problems during the day. For your partner, however, their lack of sleep -- called environmental insomnia -- can cause these symptoms and more.

Man, I am officially addicted to the show now!

strawberryshortcake.
Hubby's brother went in not long ago to be tested for sleep apnea....haven't heard much about the results yet.
Actually the snoring isn't as bad as the kicking (i'm usually the recipient...ouch), jerking, yelling, cussing, and thrashing.
We've been married for 21 years, so I have learned to live with it.....and long enough to know DH won't go in to ask a DR about it...he's the type who just doesn't think he needs help with anything, unfortunately.

Actually, this is how I think it'll play out. Alex and Addison hook up in some capacity and Alex is way more into her than the other way around. Then something will come up and their thingy will be over. Alex is left all hurt.

Ooh...good tip on the abortion thing. You might be right Melody!

Can't stand burke and christina... but that might be because I think christina is annoying.

Love McSteamy

And, I don't understand why Merideth got offended when she was told she snored and mcdreamy was sleeping on the couch. I would do the same thing! that's annoying!!!

I thought that was what she said to Christina in the break room? That she had Mark's child one year ago that day but wished it was McDreamy's so she aborted it? I am confused now.

Has she mentioned it before, prior to the last episode? I watch Grey's pretty religiously and I don't think I've missed an episode this season, but are you referring to the second season, when Cristina had an ectopic pregnancy? Did they talk then?

When I made that prediction I thought I was so brilliant for figuring out what comes next
