Well I have spoken to seller. I advised him that taking the jeans back would be the right thing to do. I told him if he wanted to keep customer he should. I guess he decided to not listen to me. He is speaking to customer service that doesnt handle claims or have any control over it. Maybe the damage isnt enough for paypal to issue money back (I have no idea but anything not as described qualifies)but the fact that he sent you a email stating he will take them pretty much closes the case. But anyways I advised him that no matter if you do a bank chargeback he will LOSE. I am a little upset cause I tried to help give him advice and explain process. At this point this is petty. How sad is that that you tell someone you will take them back then change you mind. That is horrible customer service. Acting like this will def not keep him oin business. He was banned from af for being shady so we should assume that is who he is. I bought a pair of crowns from him and they were fine (probably should look them over) but I will NEVER buy from him again. Although I did have a issue with him before I hope you girls all leave bad feedback if you transaction was bad.

Also he cant sue cause none of the above is false statements so not sure what kind of attorney he has.


I could even call him a low life scum cause that is what he is

Thank you Tiff.

I think it is a real shame that this seller has turned out to be so shady. 90% of the R+R sales on ebay are made to forum members. Bearing in mind he probably bought them for $99 he could have made a tidy little profit if he had kept himself cleans and buyers would have gone back to him time and time again. He could have become a welcomed member of our community.

This whole situation smacks of desperation and greediness and I truely pitty him.

OMG! This seller will NEVER win...you got a solid case, IMO. I just can´t see why this seller are bitching about this...it´s really pathetic and Igotthat777 will loose so many potential customers!!!

Dailydenim for example, are completely different when it comes to customers satisfaction! I won a pair of Hudson jeans some time ago but never received them. I mailed Dailydenim and asked them what to do. They fully refunded my money no question asked and I never even asked for any money back, I just asked where my jeans were

Dailydenim probably saw from my feedbacks that I am a trustworthy buyer and that I would never screw them for a few bucks. I´ve bought several jeans from Dailydenim after that, because I KNOW that I can trust them! They refunded my money so I keep on buying jeans from them and I have also recommend Dailydenim to at least 6 of my friends who also bought jeans from them. It´s a chain reaction in a positive way for Dailydenim but it will clearly become a REALLY BAD CHAIN REACTION for Igotthat777, IMO.

yeah... he pretty much 'slandered' himself.. no one on this forum is going to buy their jeans.

a $20 refund won't even be enough to hem a pair of jeans in th UK, judith was being more than fair offering to send the jeans back at her cost which would most def. cost more than $20!

i can not belive the cheek of this seller. that is completely uncalled for. changing their mind after you sent the jeans back would make me so mad and worried. im sure paypal will side with you on this because you havent done anything wrong, you have been mature and kind about the situation and the seller has behaved imaturely about all of this. i really hope you get a full refund and if the seller is reading this they should really be ashamed of themselves

I know the seller is reading this and so they will already know that I lost the paypal claim on the basis that this is a quality issue. I have telephoned them and the lady I spoke to actually agreed with me so she is going to phone the seller.

The claim is deferred which means if anyone else complains about the same issue then all claims will be opened and money refunded.

However seller, don't start smiling yet as I paid by credit card. This means I can file a chargeback and they will TAKE the money from paypal who in turn will TAKE the money from you! I also have your message via ebay which states and I quote:

I WOULD REFUND YOU THE MONEY AFTER I RECEIVE THE ITEM FROM YOU NOT BEFORE. I HAVE TO MAKE SURE I HAVE POSSETION OF THE ITEM, I DO NOT WANNA HAVE PROBLEMS JUST RETURN THE ITEM AND I WILL REFUND THE MONEY TO YOU AFTER THE ITEM ARRIVES BACK IN NEW YORK. THANK YOU

You may have won this claim but I will still take the money from you and you will still not receive any more business from us! Also, your precious feedback will now contain a negative.

You disgust me

well the way the auction was done it can be hard to win a claim unless others file.


But file chargeback now since it is your bank they will do it just give them tracking number and tell them you are being refused a refund. Paypal has no chopice but to give you refund. Then they take it from him.


I told him you will get your money back either by force or by choice and obviously by choice would have been better for business.

I wouldnt worry about paypal. I should look mine over but I sure others will file but in meatime do chargeback anyways.

That being said, I think I'm going warn a few of your bidders about what an awful person you are. If we members actively warn bidders about fake jeans, we have every right to warn them about scammers.

I would advise not to do that if I were you. It is against ebay policy and we are honest here at the honestforum, right?

If it's against ebay policy then I won't do it but I think that if bidders have the right to know that they're bidding on fake jeans, they have the right to know that they stand a high chance at being scammed also.

Thank you for your support guys. It is amazing what impact we have when we pull together. I don't want anyone getting in trouble though. Believe me, I know how frustrating this all is but what goes around... and all that!


Just to keep you updated, the seller has now offered me an exchange for another pair but I have declined. My CC company will give me a full refund and paypal then have the problem. I don't think any kind of clothing is worth all this hassel.

Really the only thing you can do to redeem yourself from all this is just apologise and issue a full refund. After all, it is in your best interest. Paying for the postage would be a nice gesture too.

He should be. We are probably the main buyers of authentic R&R jeans on Ebay. I cannot believe as a business person he did not do what was right from the beginning, especially when you are a member of the largest designer denim forum on the net. I would be jumping through hoops to make things right. Why does he even put in his auction descriptions to email if there is a problem so he can make things right??

Hopefully he will settle up with you without you having to file a chargeback.

I believe that it is also against ebay policy to contact bidders to tell them they are bidding on fake jeans. I know that I have been tempted to do that in the past (and actually may have once or twice) but I don't think you are allowed to do it.

I filed my claim against him yesterday. He's the rudest seller that I have ever delt with. He's told paypal that I'm attempting to conduct fraud and on and on... Anyways, he keeps telling me about all these people on HF who are loyal to him and reporting everything that I say to him (which is fine with me). I'm thinking that I'm done with ebay, I've had way too many hassles lately. I'm going to stick to within HF. I have aquestion, if I get stuck with these jeans with off center crowns what should I do with them?? I don't want them and I can't very well sell them since they're faulty. Ideas???
