Are make up by brands such as Chanel or Dior ever faked?

They definitely have been. Check out MakeUpAlley.com and ask the very knowledgeable ladies there, they know eveeerrythiiingg.

I don't know about Chanel & Dior but I know Lancome makeup has been faked. I bought this nasty fake Lancome eyeshadow palette when I was an ebay newbie. The shadows were really hard and didn't 'stick' to the brush when I tried to use it, and when I finally got some on it rubbed off really quickly.

Yes, I've seen fake products from the following brands:

-Maybelline
-Covergirl
-Lancome
-Anna Sui
-Dior
-Chanel
-MAC
-Estee Lauder

They definately have been faked - normally if you know exactly what you want and look at pictures of what you are getting then you should be fine. I do know that with fake MAC they created numbers for the eyeshadows instead of the names - the container is also different. Just research what you want

Yeah I know MAC brushes are faked a lot apparently! Ughh, so annoying

Wow cant believe even make up has been faked...

Yeah, I am pretty sure that makeup has been faked.
I only buy from Sephora or that brand's makeup counter/store so I won't have to even think about that.

You could always try MUA if you wanted something specific and had something else to swap away...

A lot of MAC products on Ebay are fake

Actually - there are a ton of MAC products that are real due to the outlet malls. I always get my lipglosses there because its better to spend $8 at the outlet than $13 at the regular store. Sellers usually clean out several products and then resell them for whatever. If you know the name and color of what you are looking for, its really no problem. The only problem is getting used makeup... ick

Yea, make up gets faked a lot...especially MAC but it's pretty obvious IMO

I'm part of MUA and I love swapping, you guys should all try it

The CCO actually keeps track of how many of each item the seller purchases in order to prevent re-selling.
