I want to try out this new alteration person who is closer to me than my regular one, I had a pair of cheap Old Navy jeans that I asked him to alter for original hem and this is what he came up with:

Is this a euro hem? I am thinking of printing out instructions for the original hem like this:

Thanks.....do most people do the euro hem or the original hem? I mostly do original hem but I thought this was a different look.

I hem my jeans the second way to save myself money...But I much prefer the sandwich method(the way most tailors do it - like yours)

I prefer original hem because it's cheaper and length can be release when needed.

I'm going to ask the alteration guy to do the original hem and bring him the print out of the website on the "how to" of original hems.

i prefer the way he did it..

but i do the fold and tuck myself.

ask him how to do his sandwich hem i can't find instructions anywhere online for that method. i like it because its cleaner on the inside (i hem a lot off)

I like the send way better

looks like he did a great job to me. I wouldn't complain

Personally I like the 1st way better (euro hem)- usually the 2nd way tends to kind of "flip up" for me and it gets annoying

i like both hems. i have had both done to my jeans. Tailor's that i have spoke with, consider the first picture the Euro hem. NOrdstrom calls the second one a "tricky" hem, but they also call it the Euro hem as well.
So, you need to be specific with which one you want done, as both cna be considered a euro hem

Better yet, ask the gals in the RR and 7fam forum. they love to glue their jeans together. LOL

Yeah that's what happened with some of the jeans I had that done to....looks really stupid I think.

I like the first one wayyy better. they don't "curl up" on the hems like it does with the other method.

/\that's usually the case for me, but my R&R that i had hemmed with the sandwich method, flip up terribly
