The TR popularity decline

Has TR's popularity started dwindling? It seems like there is a sudden lack of interest in TR on this forum. Rocks, Sevens and Diesel still seem strong on this forum. I love my TR's especially Super T's, but i am just curious if you think TR is on its way out?

I noticed the popularity in the forum decline since I joined in the late spring. Either way, I still like the fit of TR's even though I am selling a pair on ebay cause there too big. I want a pair of johnny's so hopefully my jeans will sell for a good price on ebay.

TR stock keeps going up pretty steadily almost every day. I can't imagine their doing that poorly

Personally, I have moved away from TR . . . I really find that Bobbys are the only style that I love and TR hasn't really done much with them lately . . . I still like TR, but I am waiting for some new Bobbys

same, I LOVE bobbys, they are the only cut that love my body back. I still really like sammys but I have a flat butt in them. So anyway, like compulsive said, TR has not had any new bobbys out for months now.

Thats whats funny..I have currently 15 pairs of TR, and not a one Bobby. I have tried Bobby 3X and I am never happy with them.

I absolutley *LOVE* TR's and am a Joey only lover. I will keep buying & lovin' my TR's.
But I buy jeans that look great on me & fit perfect and am not to much into the trends or what's hot at the moment.
I will not stray from one true love, the TR Joey.....

TR's stock has done horribly. TRLG was a $22 stock at the beginning of November, and is now a $15.60 stock one month later. They reported a horrible quarter where sales were down due to what management blamed as missed sales targets due to warmer than expected weather. Sure, TRLG's stock has gone from $15 to $15.60 in the past 2 weeks, but overall market has gone up and even the dog stocks move with the tide. Not saying TRLG's stock is necessarily a dog...it's a takeover target. However, just correcting a comment made earlier in this thread. Trust me, this is my job...I know stocks. I still like my TR jeans too, but have decided that I don't like rigid Joeys...flare is too big. Just stretch Joeys and Johnny's.

I am more of a Bobby fan for myself anyway!
But in response to the original question, I think the TR forum has slowed down because TR's are much easier to find at a decent price than they used to be.
R&R's for example, are not nearly as accessible which makes them more in demand..

TR's declined popularity in my opinion is because there is a lack of new styles out this fall/winter. Either the threads are getting bigger (super T) or the rainbow is being overplayed with different colour. I still love the thick thread idea but TR needs to focus more on new designs concepts and to keep up in the world of fashion.

The trends have changed in the world of denim. When people go out to purchase premium jeans, the first thing they check out are the pockets before even trying them on. If the pockets doesn't have crystals or studs then why would I choose a pair of $300 jeans that doesn't make me look premium.

Umm because if nobody can ACCURATELY answer authenticity questions people stop posting in that section...and if the members who posted alot leave whos gonna engage in conversation-newbies who dont even know the difference between big t and super t??

Well the temporary decline in stock is probably due to 3 new stores opening in 7 weeks of each other, the company is expanding exponentially and it can scare some investors as to whether things are moving too quickly...But trust me you dont plan on opening 10 new stores in the coming year if you are not HOT on the market

^^ Same here, i'm a big joey fan, haven't found any other tr styles to be as flattering. i'm sure tr will be around for a long time. they are more reasonably priced now compared to r & r's but it's still one of those brands that's really hard to get at a decent price for re-sale (and i'm thinking that's why r&r and tr's do better than other brands...b/c they REALLY keep non-brick-and-mortar stores OUT.

Nobody? Its crazy that on this forum with 10,000 members nobody can accurately authenticate. yeah, that must be the reason for the decline in TR interest here.
