Tell me about detoxing! - Page 2

POOH, I just got my LBB in the mail but it doesn't come with any directions. Do you recommend doing the 3 day juice cleanse or just start taking them? I took a total of 4 yesterday and 2 so far today and so far nothing has "happened".

I would just start like you did and work at finding your dose. Depends on how you go now and how you have gone in the past. I have seen people who only go once a week take a while to get going so be patient and diligent. =)

It took me about 3 days to get soemthing going. I was a normal pooper, once a day. The second day I got bummed that I didn't go any differently so i took a lot more that day, I can't remember really how many but it was a lot and the next day I cleaned myself out...completely... After that I cut it back to about 2-4 after each meal and it took maybe a month to get going more like twice a day. I used the steady as she goes method. Though I could tell when I went it was more I still went only once a day.

Think about how long you have let those muscles get lax. Then think about the LBB and what it is doing, excercising those muscles back into shape. That doesn't happen overnight, but you will see definite differences in amount, color and consistency. You are essentially healing your intestines and excercising them so keep taking them and increase your dose as you see fit.

Also you can do this experiment. Eat some corn then wait for it to come out. That is your transit time. The longer the transit time, the more you have to heal. A side note, these herbs will not hurt you and the opinion of herbalist is that you want to take enough of any herb to get a reaction, in this instance the reaction will be a BM and possibly a loose one. That is your max dose to work with. Taking more of them will not make you sick or hurt you. This isn't a drug so it is not toxic nor is it really dose related as every person will be different. You take what you need to get things moving in a maneer that is comfortable for you. If you don;t mind a loose BM everyday, take your max dose. If you want something more normal, then cut it back daily until you reach a point where it is still firm but coming without trouble or discomfort.

Yes, please pm me the candida pics....I'm not easily grossed out either (I am a Lab Tech) I have had about of digastive problems for the last 10 years and I am really sick and tired of it! I get REALLY constipated and bloated (gassy) but can't seem to expel anything expect maybe some mucous - seems almost like a blockage. I would sometime resort to laxatives just to get some relief...my stomach would expand to major proportions and I seriously would look like I was 3 months pregnant NOT PRETTY or comfortable I am really hoping that this detox wakes up my intestine and returns me to some sort of "regular" schedule!
So far during my detox I have gotten a cold (last week) and I do feel tired most of the time...haven't experience any extra energy yet! I am over the half way mark, today was day 17! Yesterday I seemed to have a setback and I was really bloated.gassy and couldn't expel anything and my bowels were making lots of noise in protest!!! Today is going much better!!! What should I do at the end of the 30 days? What should I be taking to keep things regular (acidopilous)?

Oh yes, now I remember. it really sounds to me like you have a Candida problem and your bowel problems are symptoms of this. The bloating, the gas, the constipation are all symptoms of Candida. If you do not feel relief of some sort after your 30 days, you should really do some extensive candida cleansing. You can have this problem usually after antibiotics throw off the ntural balance in your system, sometimes birth control pills or fluctuations in hormones can cause it. But the tired feeling all the time is also a sign. Though you do need to do bowel cleansing for Candida, there are also other things you should do.

The cold is definitely a symptoms of parasite die off as is the extreme tired feeling. parasites harbor other parasites, the cold virus being one of them and when you kill them they release other viruses which you them can become infected with. This is good and will go away. I would up your intake of Vitamin C for a few days to help boost your immune system enough to fight it. The tired is called a healing crisis, the body is using all it's energy to heal leaving you little left to work with. It sucks, but this is a positive sign.

If you do not get results and improved bowel function after your 30 days I would try to see a naturopath for a possible Candida problem.

Thread Starter
I started this thread and then ran away because I have been cheating on my detox and felt so ashamed Not that it seems like the drink stuff I had was effective to begin with, anyway!

Okay maybe it's not that bad, but I only went a day and a half on the actual detox. And since I was taking finals this week, I was up everyday until 4, eating nothing but pasta, pizza, coffee and Mounds/Almond joys. The first few days at least I kept eating vegtables and fruit but not anymore.

Anyway I'm going home so I'll start again and drink more water (no more coffee and tea with too much splenda). Thank you so much pooh, your information here is like gold! Kenics also sent me info from you but since I have been avoiding this I have yet to open the e-mail. You guys are a great resource and the best

What is this candid cleanse you're referring too. Is it simple to maintain? I really want to try something like this.Isin't there anything out there easier like just taking one pill a few times a day or eating the same food for a month, this just all seems so confusing
