So I sent this message to eBay seller hughie8465:

"Can I see tag pictures please? Thanks."


And he/she responds with this:

"do you mean like the ons that are already in the auction?"


My response:

"I mean a closer, clearer picture of the size tag and also a close, clear picture of the style tag. "


And this is what he/she says:

"Your nuts."


Umm, what the heck? Am I being unreasonable? The only tag picture in the auction is blurry and from a distance. Am I being nuts? I hope this seller is not an HF member!

the dude doesn't sound like he knows about how important tag close-ups are for authentication purposes. absolutely nutastic. i'd explain to our mr. hughie friend here why you need a close-up for authentication.

Nope, the seller ID is hughie8465. the jeans look real (wash, distressing, R's), but I wanted tag pics to make sure!

hah I bought from them before. I guess b/c I didn't ask any questions they were okay... but what a stuck up h*.

on the bright side, they sell authentic stuff and it's not overpriced like most BIN R&R on Ebay.

lol! when i first saw the title of the thread, that's exactly who i thought of stone_chateau!

but wow, yeah this guy is either a complete denim newb or is just straight up dumb.
anyone who sells premium denim on ebay should know the importance of having close ups of tag pictures and what-not, especially with all the fakes running rampant on there :S

Yeah, I just bought from them and no problem except the shipping is a little slow.

In my auction his tags pic is quite clear tho, guess I am lucky

Anyway that is still a rude response...

That dude is a known reliable seller, but his response was rude & unprofessional.

Should I go ahead and ask for a clearer tag pic on the Kiedes auction, just to irritate him?

Some sellers are just weird, I tried to buy a Halloween costume a while ago and the seller never shipped it, kept saying he did, so I finally got sick of it and filed a paypal thing, then when he refunded my money he said "here's your money I was sick of you anyway" I was like WTF? He never even shipped my item and I kept emailing him asking him where it was and he was sick of ME?? I emailed him back telling him he was the WORST seller I have ever dealt with and that is why he had less than 100% feedback and I have 100% feedback, he wrote back "HAHAHA" what a jerk!! Yeah like other people said, real sellers know the importance of tag pics....

I don't get mad at non-responses, because I will occasionally do that myself. These people may have more going on then just ebay, ya know. You get some absurd questions too... sometimes, I think a non-response is the way to go for some of those. I think a non-response in this case would have left you a little less irritated than the rude one.

I just don't get why sellers reply so rudely. It's a waste of time and it makes you look like an ass!

Honestly if tag pics were already in the auction there was no reason to ask for more, I am the only one who is getting this? She wanted tags pics of an auction that already had tag pics and was angry that the seller gave her such a responce. Questions such as this are a waste of time for sellers. obviously the seller didnt have as much time on there hands as you to entertain such things. I dont see how you are the victom here, sorry.

ok, I apparantly have too much time on my hands tonnight. This should be the auction is I did this correctly:
eBay: $246 Rock & Republic KIEDIS Jeans in Hydrogen Size 24 (item 190053814068 end time Nov-27-06 17:00:00 PST)

I dont think that is a blurry picture and it is obvious to anyone that these are 100% authentic. Just my opinion of coarse.

I just wanted to be 100% sure of the authenticity because there are a lot of sellers who sell fakes. I'm sorry I'm not an R&R expert like you because the authenticity wasn't as clearly obvious to me. I didn't realize I crossed the line by asking for clearer pictures since it is so "obvious" to "anyone".
