How often do you trim your hair?

The last time I got my hair cut was about two months ago when I got six inches off. Do I need to go back for a trim? I don't feel like I have any split ends, and even when I look really closely at my hair I can't find any, but I've heard that regardless you should get it cut every 4-6 weeks.

I have really healthy hair, so as long as my layers aren't all grown out, I'm happy, I go every 3-4 months

I usually get it trimmed every 2-3 months even though I know it should be sooner but that's probably b/c my hair doesn't grow that fast.

4-6 weeks

unless you're trying to substantially grow it out

but you should still go in to get it shaped up

I get my hair cut every 5 weeks ~ I have short hair though and if I wait longer, my hair becomes ridiculous to manage!

lol You would flip if you know how long it has been for me

I get a trim every few months. I like having my hair long and I only cut it when I see split ends or when I feel the urge to have a new look.

I feel the urge to get a new look every 2-3 months - I've never just gotten an upkeep trim.

I get my hair cut every 4 weeks. My hair is shorter and if it's not trimmed, it looks awful, not to mention it's hard to work with.

My hair grows awfully slow... it's super frizzy and dead from all those years of straightening everyday so I only go for a trim every 4 monthes and then a complete hair cut change once a year.

i trim my hair up every 4 days. having a clean cut buzz is tough.

4-6 months? I paid tons to get my hair permed and much prefer to wear them long. Don't want to chop the curls away.

^^ OT ange, is that your kitty? It is soooo cute!

I get my hair trimmed every 3-4mos. I should go more often but I don't care that much about my hair. I wish I did! I hardly ever change my hairstyle too.. *sigh* maybe my next haircut I will

^Heheh...Isn't he? Thanks, Constance. I'll let him know someone in Vancouver loves him!

i'd say every 2-3 months?

i have to go soon.. it's only been a month but the woman who cut my hair didn't layer it at all so it's shapeless now

I probably cut every 3 months. It's not usually the cut that drives me in but when I am sick of the dull color then I go in for both- color and cut.

I used to get it cut every 3 months, but the last time i got it cut would probably be 5 months ago. The hairdresser cut it awfully short, so trying to let it grow! However, i do have all these flyaways i dont know how to get rid of them =(

I trim my hair every sex weeks on the dot. I'm trying to grow my hair out, so my stylists cuts about a fourth of an inch off each time. You have to make sure you cut deadish ends off BEFORE they split and cause breakage.

^^Every sex weeks, eh? You must love your hairdresser!!

Wow most people get their hair cut more often than I would have thought. Two months seems to be the average here. I usually cut my hair once a year, and I do it myself. No wonder it grew so slowly! I guess I had 'nice' hair but it was just long and straight.

I went for a haircut yesterday for the first time in five years on a total impluse because I had heard of the salon before, and I was really dissapointed with the result. The overall haircut isn't "bad" but I didn't get what I wanted at all, and it will probably take me a year to grow it out
