John Frieda! Only a couple bucks morw than Pantene or Herbal!

Loreal & Garnier act the same way on my hair--like it's coating the strands and weighing it down yet leaving my ends frizzy.

I like lots of salon brands, but my LOVE GOES TO TERAX!

How about A/G? I was using the silver/toning shampoo & conditioner when my hair was dyed platinum blonde and I have to say it was INCREDIBLE stuff....especially the conditioner So, I bought the Xmoist or Ultramoist stuff but haven't used it yet, I'll update when I do. Reviews on MUA are not that great so we shall see

I totally stay away from Pantene cause I have heard terrible things about it! As for Matrix Biolage, it's no good either???? Lots of good reviews on MUA????

Oh, and yes I have used Terax....and really loved it. Just really have to go out of my way to buy it as most places don't sell it. What shampoo do you use with the Terax?

I buy my stuff from this nice lady in Canada: eBay Store - Hairway2Heaven: Shampoo, Conditioner, Specials

Right now, I use Latte shampoo and Crema conditioner. In the past I've used Miele and Collagene because I was on a medication that shut down my oil glands. All of them worked wonders on the texture and stylability of my hair!

Right now I'm using Aussie Mega shampoo and conditioner. It smells great and really moisterizes my hair. It's cheap too, a bottle of shampoo (16 oz) runs $2.84 at Target!!!

i second that, or try any of the other Bumble and Bumble products...

Pantene is the only stuff that I can wash with and not have uber dry and limp hair (and I've tried pretty much everything my salon offers... ) It could be because I'm in the pool 5+ days a week.

My boyfriend only uses fructise (stupid boys) and that gave me horrible build up.

Where can you buy the Bumble and Bumble stuff? I've never heard of it or seen it...

I've been able to buy it at selective salons. There is a person on ebay that sells it...thier ID is media-mover.

I have used so many over the years.. I have used the kerastase too and I know it wins the awards in the IN Stlye best beauty buys but in my opinion it can't hold a candle to the Pureology line... The Pureology Hydrate, Reconstruct and Nano are awesome.. also their is a Japanese line in yellow bottles..I think the company was Creed FT for the shampoo and ER for the conditioner.. my old salon used in on girls getting their hair thermal reconditioned but my hair is dry naturally curly and sometimes frizzy too and it worked great on me.. In highschool i used Nexus Therape, Humectrus, Ensure and they were good.. later I used Aussie and it was ok.. I even used Baby Shampoo but my hair needs a good product.. i used the Terax line Latte and Crema from Sephora but I didn't like it as much as the so I am sticking with the Pureology I have used for the last few years.. I shop and buy it online in bulk and it last forever.

My hair stylist told me to never use shampoo & conditioner from the drug store b/c it dries out your hair. I use Pureology hydrate shampoo and conditioner.

I love Pureology also, it's not the cheapest in price but it does wonders and leaves your hair looking and feeling great! Highly recommended

the shampoo that i have liked the best so far is Redken All Soft, but I am getting to the end of the bottle and decided I would try Pureology b/c of all the rave reviews. I went to the local salon and got a gift set of the Hydrate shampoo/conditioner and the Nanoglaze for $30. I'm looking forward to trying it

jetta - How are you liking the Pureology??? I am not too crazy about the conditioner and the tingly mint feeling...and the nanoglaze I really don't like at all

Anyone interested in trading/buying my nanoglaze??? I feel like I am back at square one...how come I don't LOVE the Pureology like everyone else?

Sounds like you were just using the wrong Joico products on your hair. In my opinion Joico is a fantastic line, and your hair should not have felt that way after using it.
Oh, and the hairsdresser in me will tell you why you love Pantene so much.(i learned this in beauty school). YOur hair is so soft a silky because Pantene is actually putting a wax build-up on your hair..not a good thing in the long run.

Every hairdresser is going to have their own opinions on certain product lines, I will say that Matrix makes great products overall. I especially think Biolage is great. You have get some great products and they don't brake the bank as well.

I personally use Bumble & Bumble, Joico, Biolage and Aquage....just depends on my mood and which product i am using.

Bumble & Bumble is sold at higher end salons. They are very picky on who they let carry their line. The salon actually goes through kind of a interview process. The line is pretty expensive, but it is wonderful

If you are swimming 5 days a week, you totally need to be using a strong clarifying shampoo after every time that you swim. Chlorine is so terrible for the hair. It definitely makes your hair dry, brittle, and limp. you also should be using like a deep chelating treatment on it once a week to deeply remove the chlorine, following up with a deep conditioning treatment. If you are using the right products, you should see a difference in a matter of a week or 2.
All of this is just my opinion of course.

oh, and in defense of all of us hairdressers, we tell you not to use the drug store stuff, because it is NOT good for your hair, really. So many reasons i won't even get into.

i was just going to ask you how you liked it cbrooke - I LOVE it, its absolutely the best thing i've tried on my hair and I've used Aveda, Nexxus, Tigi, Graham Webb & Redken All Soft. I was hesitant to try B&B or Pureology b/c I can get the liter bottles of All Soft on special for $10 at a local salon and I hate the thought of spending $50 on a liter of shampoo. I didn't really like the smell out of the bottle, but i love the way my hair smells when I am finished drying. It is not nearly as fried looking as it used to be and i can go a day without washing my hair and it doesn't feel greasy and gross like it used to. I think the nano works really well too. Sorry you didnt have the same results
Does anyone know of a good place to buy the liter bottles online? I didn't see them at the salon i went to.

imo... if you're gonna go cheap, use suave. i love their salon professional biobasics shampoo and conditioner. it's roughly $3 for both! it makes my hair soft and doesn't leave residue behind. i only shampoo 1-2 times per week, and condition every day... i heard its not good to shampoo every day, and i see a noticeable difference

I use KMS Silker - it isn't that expensive if you get it online and smells beautiful
